Yesterday i could not buy any items on the trading post due to an error message I kept receiving. Now I am missing the tender I tried to spend on the items, and never got the items. The tender is not in my chest or mail or anything.
I also checked my transaction history and you can very obviously see that i have about 900-1000 tender never that wasn’t spent, just gone in the wind.
Happened to me too. Yesterday, I had over 1280 Tender, and it wouldn’t let me buy anything. When I tried, it’d say “The Trading Post is having trouble communicating with the server.”. So I opened a ticket. Today, I got a response from a GM saying they see my problem, and they sent me a link to file a bug report. The kicker is that I also noticed that most of my Tender was deleted, and I only have 65 now when I logged in today, and I have none of the items I was trying to buy.
I’m going to cover the timeline as I see it, Idiotcat, starting at the beginning of May, since the last transaction in April appears to have been the beginning of that month, where you ended with 535 Tenders.
So starting 5/1 16:57 you received your 500 Tenders, bringing your total to 1035.
5/1 19:28 you purchased the Vigilante’s Crimson Mask for 50 - New total 985.
5/1 19:29 you purchased the Renaissance Sai for 120 - New total 865.
5/1 19:29 you purchased the Large Renaissance Katana for 130 - New total 735.
5/1 19:29 you purchased the Renaissance Katana for 110 - New total 625.
5/1 19:30 you purchased the Ensemble: Attire of the Woodland Raccoon for 440 - new total 185.

Which should be your current total now.
It can sometimes take a little while for the display to update, especially if you experienced an error. Relogging often will help.

You haven’t earned any additional tenders from the Traveler’s Log yet, so your current total stands at 65.
Yeah I see it now. Yesterday the currency was just being really buggy, and it wasn’t updating as I bought things. So it looked like I had more than I really did. It was throwing me off so much. It looked like I still had 1295 when I was trying to buy the Brown-Furred Spiky Bakar, and the Heroic Half Shell, which I guess is why it was giving me the error. Now that it’s showing the proper amount that I have, I have regrets. I would have bought the Bakar first. 
Not saying there couldn’t be a bug there, but generally, these are UI display errors. Given there was just a content patch, there could be an out-of-date addon causing some minor issues.
If it’s giving you issues, you should try a Full UI Reset. Rename the WTF, Cache, and Interface folders (I just put a “.old” behind them), and restart the client to check out your balance on the fresh default UI.
It’s fine now, but disabling all addons was one of the first things I tried before I opened the initial ticket.
Yeah disabling is just putting a bandaid on the issue if its a corrupted UI a proper reset would be much better.
