Feeling overwhelmingly defeated, I’m not even sure what else my account is missing I have proof of my character with mount/title and now it no longer has that mount or title when logging on and support refuses to help. One of my characters is still on the mount that I no longer have in my book, they said they changed how the mount was obtained, but isn’t a huge part of this game is to do things and then when things they don’t get removed? Is every vicious war mount obtained subject to being lost because of this structure if someone takes a break for a couple years after they achieve it during the season?
Insane I can’t share my proof https:// imgur . com/a/bxvj1y5 I have to break it up weird like this
These mounts shouldn’t be lost now, but I guess I can speculate in that in the past when they were character bound (even when most mounts weren’t) there’s a non-zero chance the character that earned it faction changed, losing access to it in favor of the Horde equivalent…?
If you didn’t faction the char who had it before taking a break then I’m not sure.
This one I just don’t know. Very odd indeed.
Not meaningful I don’t think, no, aside from making vicious stuff a little easier.
Was the original owning character of the mounts deleted/purged? Because I thought they added account-wide mounts in cata or mop so a legion mount being randomly lost doesn’t make sense.
Probably the first thing you should try is a full UI Reset, doing that will often fix a lot of issues that tend to show up like what you’re seeing. Here are the steps from Blizzards help documentation:
Resetting your UI to default settings can resolve various display and interface issues. Before performing these steps, please temporarily uninstall any addon management software you are using. Addon managers will re-sync the data cleared by these steps.
Completely exit World of Warcraft.
Uninstall any addon managers to make sure they don’t re-add your removed addons.
In the Blizzard Battle.net desktop application, click Options (the cogwheel next to Play button) and select Show in Explorer (Windows®) or Reveal in Finder (Mac®).
Open the World of Warcraft® folder.
Open the folder for the game version you’re troubleshooting (retail, classic_era, or classic)
Rename the Cache, Interface, and WTF folders to CacheOld, InterfaceOld, and WTFOld.
Re-launch World of Warcraft so the changes can take effect.
UI Issues can and will cause issues with the interfaces for mounts, pets, achievements, transmog, making items appear to not be available along with a vast variety of other things. The UI has a much larger impact on issues than most people think, and while resetting it won’t fix all problems, its one of the first things you will want to do in any situation like this.
Unfortunately not a UI issue. Blizzard is saying that its because of an account merger in 2020 but I was playing Classic on a completely different wow profile from my “Fireproof08” account and hadn’t touched that since I was PVPing on that warlock in Battle for Azeroth. So apparently blizzard did some weird merge without my permission which took my mounts away. The biggest thing that happened was I race changed my rogue into a belf when i server xfered but the warlock is untouched. I’m not sure what wave of 2020 consolidations they’re talking about but I haven’t used multiple bnet accounts ever only multiple wow profiles under the same bnet account. These characters have never left “Fireproof08” since they’ve been there
The “Consolidation Request” They are saying messed up my account was when I tried to merge my wow1 and “Fireproof08” profiles together because I started classic wow by mistake on a separate wow profile under my bnet account and it was denied because its not possible, I’m okay paying 2 subs, But not if they’re going to take away what i’ve earned and then not actually dive into the issue to fix it.
Proof of my request being denied in 2020

Unfortunately there’s things that can cause character association with certain data to get lost, and I think this is one possible result of that occurring. The previous cases I’d heard about involved characters who earned something being deleted or faction changed. (I think race changes may have done it too?) The other incidents I remember Blues here discovering involved achievement rewards being missing because the character pointer on the achievement earn was no longer linked to a character on the account, so they couldn’t restore said items since they could no longer link the data to a specific character.
