After the update, my mini map has disappeared. Is there something I am missing to bring it up?

Does it come back with a UI reset?

Not just disabling addons, but an actual reset.

I just logged in and it looks like it is there. My guess is last night I was playing and the full download hadn’t completed. Now that it is complete, everything looks as it should be.

My mini map button has not been restored. I have the full update and I don’t know what to do. I really rely upon it. I need help and can’t find any solutions online.

Have you done a full UI reset (as detailed in Support article linked below) to rule out a misbehaving addon or corrupted UI?

Please note, this is not the same as disabling addons OR doing a /reload of your UI.

Also, which version of the game are you having issues with - Retail or Classic?

Retail. I did look into the resetting the WoW user interface in battle.net. I could not find the options button or link. So, still no mini map on any of my toons.

Okay, hopefully this will be able to help.

  1. Completely exit World of Warcraft.
  2. In the Blizzard Battle.net desktop application, click Options and select Show in Explorer (Windows®) or Reveal in Finder (Mac®).

It is the gear icon that you need to click to get to the Options menu.

  1. Open the World of Warcraft® folder.

It should take you to the game installation folder.

  1. Open the folder for the game version you’re troubleshooting — in this case we are working with Retail.

The selected folders will be the ones we will rename.

  1. Rename the Cache, Interface, and WTF folders to CacheOld, InterfaceOld, and WTFOld.

  1. Re-launch World of Warcraft so the changes can take effect.
