Female Pandaren are currently missing a racial melee animation used for several abilities such as Eviscerate (Rogue), Bloodthirst and Devastate (Warrior), and others that use the spinning flourish from pre-9.0. They were replaced with essentially nothing. The original and flavorful animations still work on the PTR. I would very much like these returned to the Live client.

The current animation on Live also seems to have a lower priority than Auto-Attacks and dodges, so you never see it when fighting something other than a target dummy. Sorry for the low brightness. I’m not a YouTuber and don’t know why they’re so dark in the videos.
Thank you. Is there a way to know if this is something Blizzard is aware of and is hopefully working on? I fear because Pandaren are often forgotten by Blizzard. I near-exclusively play Pandaren so this affects many of my characters. Sorry for the second thread. I have formatted it better and provided videos this time.

Yeah I notice this is a problem on Pandaren but also if you are using Outlaw spec. Mounting animations don’t work, hearthstone animations don’t work.
Are they both related issues specifically to Rogues? Something that needs to be investigated!

I checked on Outlaw and you’re very much and expectedly correct. Pandaren are missing their pistol on Pistol Shot and Between the Eyes. Their Hearthstone and mounting animations also disable after entering combat and then leaving it. I checked my Goblin Rogue and she still had her pistol, but the hearthstone and mounting animations were also bugged.

Please, Blizzard. The Pandaren really need some bug fixes. I’m going to go through and test more.

The videos you put together highlight the issues very well. I’m seeing the same thing while playing Outlaw; the actual pistol for Pistol Shot doesn’t exist, and the flashy finishing moves (Dispatch for instance) are no more than another stabbing motion.
Our finishing moves actually look worse than the auto attacks now.

They’re not the only ones. Night elf demon hunters are missing the transform animation and their hearth animation currently. Seems like 9.0 has just randomly deleted a whole bunch of animations.

I’ve seen this too, I have been outlaw since I first started my rogue and I’ve noticed of late that the animation for my raven mount let alone the sound effects for it just don’t play. My hearthstone animations aren’t there, I double checked with other characters and yeah no my rogue not doing those animations made no sense

After the maintenance, all the issues in this thread are still broken. Not that I really thought they would be fixed. Still would like to stay on top of the issue in hopes that someone at Blizzard will be motivated to fix them or acknowledge them.

At least the female pandaren idle sitting animation works now, so that’s…something, I guess. Most of my other characters still freeze like a statue while sitting. No blinking…no breathing. 
I don’t have one of everything, but looking at the various races I DO have, the female pandaren seems to be the most heavily bugged at the moment.

Hey Blizzard. Please revert to the unique Pandaren animations. The new animations looks like trash.

While we are at it, can we also have the old “walking backwards” animations back? The new ones look ridiculous and broken.

Thanks so much everyone that comments on this thread. It’s very much appreciated. I know it’s a bit hopeful and naïve of me. But, I do really hope these issues are fixed (or at least acknowledged) by Shadowlands release. They have a lot on their plate and Pandaren tend to not be on Blizzard’s radar. Still, I have a tiny bit of faint hope regardless.

Just wanted to quickly say that these are all still issues after today’s patch/maint. And, a thank you for the others that have contributed to this thread.

The racial Pandaren animations were fixed! Thank you all so much to the people that posted in this thread and in the initial one on the Rogues forums. Also, thank you to the person that made the reddit post that got over 1k likes.
The ranged props are still broken for Survival Hunter and Outlaw Rogue.
Edit:: Also, thank you to the Blizzard devs that were able to fix this!
