I purchased the TBC Deluxe Upgrade on June 26, 2022.
I received the mount and toys, but no character boost.
I have tried the recommended fixes, but to no avail.
I’ve tried to put in tickets for this problem, but again nothing ever happened.
Please look into this. I would really love to have the boost before Wrath Classic comes out.
There are no GM’s on the forums.
What didn’t happen, the ticket submit attempt, or no response?
You will need to get a support ticket in for this, probably under Payment Failure or similar. Make sure you get a ticket number, this ensures the ticket has been submitted.
Out of curiosity, what does it say under your transaction history?
Toys etc are instant access. Boost not until payment finalizes. I wonder if it failed on the back end somehow?
Only thing that comes to mind with this long of a delay.
Oh the payment cleared on both ends. That was the first thing I checked.
I’m just aggravated and frustrated that I keep going in circles with this.
From what I can see, Arrien, you upgraded to the Deluxe Edition recently. You already had purchased the Dark Portal Pass back in June of last year.
The Deluxe version includes 30 days of game time, the Reawakened Phase-Hunter Mount for TBCC, the Viridian Phase-Hunter Mount for regular WoW, the Path of Illidan Toy and the Dark Portal Hearthstone. It does not include a second boost.
I don’t see any tickets being submit from this account except for Stuck tickets. If you attempted to submit a ticket, it doesn’t look like you completed the process.
I don’t believe the upgrade qualifies for a refund, but if your only purpose in buying it was to get a second boost out staff could see if one were still possible.
That was the problem with the tickets. Everytime I tried to put one in, it would not go through and I was sent back to the “Here’s how to fix it” page. That never worked for me. So I’m at a lost, I do want the boost, even though now I’m not sure which lower I would boost.
As Vrakthris posted earlier, the Deluxe Edition upgrade does not include a second boost. You had already received a boost when you bought the Dark Portal Pass.
From the Shop page:
- Limit one Level-58 Character Boost per WoW® Account. Upgrading to the Deluxe Edition from the Dark Portal Pass will not re-grant the Character Boost or any in-game items associated with the boost.
Yes, I did purchased the Dark Portal Pass, however I NEVER received the character boost that came with it.
I checked all past Emails to make sure I didn’t miss it. It never showed up.
From what I’m seeing, you purchased the Dark Portal Pass on 6/17/21, the boost that came with it was almost immediately applied to a level 35 Orc Shaman on Atiesh.
It seems you deleted that character on 5/16/22.
I can provide the name of the character if you need it.
Why did it go to a character on a server I didn’t play on at the time of purchase?
Nothing is automatic, so it wouldn’t have gone to that character without direct input.
Someone who has access to your account had to have selected the character and chose to boost it. Since it was within the same minute that the Dark Portal Pass was purchased, it logically could only have been the person who purchased it.
In any case, the character is still there, it just needs to be undeleted, which you can do through the game client.
okay…thank you for the info…May have a few words with my son about it.
You may also want to consider having him create his own wow account under you u can have 1 child under ur account then he can move onto his own accout when he turns 18 and in the mean time you can both reap the benifits of RAF.
Actually, it would be best that a child has their own Battle Net account. That way the parent/guardian can apply Parental Controls as needed. The Battle Net account can be placed in the parent’s/guardian’s name until said child comes of age and then the account can be placed in the child’s name.
Also, the child will then be able to keep any account-bound items versus losing them when they become of age and need to be moved to their own account.
Orlyia has explained it better:
It would not be worth getting his own …he mostly plays on occasion when the mood strikes him. He knew I was leaving that server for another.
Just want to touch on this once he turns 18 it will fall under account sharing and will be a bigger issue then it is now.
Just throwing out there, it would have been worth it in this situation cause he couldn’t have used the boost.
That said, I’m really sorry that happened and you aren’t able to boost the character you were wanting to and that it caused so much confusion for ya now.
Thank you for that, you’re right it did cause confusion. He likes to play for a bit here and there just to see if he really likes it and no, he’s not into Warcraft…Now Hearthstone was a big maybe, but I can’t keep up with 3 accounts and the HS Xpacks at the sametime. Just as well, his friends have moved to a new game and I don’t have to worry about mine anymore.
