Hello! Since the transition to Warbands / TWW… I have a missing character.
I believe it was on the realm Khadgar (I’ve lost other characters on this realm back when it was merged with Alleria during MoP).
I had a Dark Iron Dwarf Warrior named Stonekeg. I have since recreated a new one with that name to confirm that it is indeed non-existent. That said, I can’t imagine I’d have ever deleted this character as he’s A) a significant character to my own lore, and B) the one I was going to earn the heritage armor set on.
In addition to that, when I logged onto a max level Dark Iron Shaman who I have via a race change, that one instantly received the heritage armor quest, despite me not earning it on them.
While ultimately it may be something others would see as a minor inconvenience, I feel like it’s important to bring up for the integrity of our characters not just disappearing for no reason.
I made a ticket about it, and the response was to just use the un-delete feature… which is inoperable right now. Not to mention the fact that I did not delete the character in the first place.
Characters do not ever just delete themselves now does Blizzard ever delete them.
If they’re missing and you were able to reuse the name, then somebody with access to your account must have deleted them unfortunately.
A blue might be able to confirm to be sure, but if they’re deleted, you’ll need to wait for the character restoration service to come back to recover them.
I lost a character on that realm in MoP when it was connected to Alleria. I was given a boost as compensation as a GM was unable to resolve the issue.

MadSeason made a point to talk about having the same issue on the same realm - character disappearance.
So… I’m not trying to be combative. I highly suspect that when the undelete feature returns, I’m going to find nothing in that list pertaining to said character… and would rather address the issue sooner than later before it becomes buried as something that happened a while ago and can’t be resolved.
That is interesting, because I’ve don’t recall an issue due to realm connections. I have vague recollections of something happening with one realm, but I don’t remember if that was connections or not.
Unfortunately, ticket history is limited as we don’t keep them indefinitely and they only go back so far. The notes however, do indicate a character boost was added to the account as well as game time, which supports your statement. I would loved to have seen more robust notes on the issue. >.<
That is simply how it functions now, it updated with the War Within. If you have a Dark Iron Dwarf of the appropriate level, you’ll be able to earn the Heritage Armor.
I’m afraid I don’t see any record of a Warrior with that name. I see a couple of deleted Warriors, one on Nesingwary and one on Paglek, but not under that name.
Character’s generally don’t disappear for no reason. Even in the case that you mentioned, it seems it was related to the realm connections at the time and I imagine there was evidence of the character then too, it just couldn’t be recovered. I’m afraid I don’t see anything here, Ava, sorry.
Thank you! I appreciate you looking into it I’ll remake him and start the journey anew. My dwarves Oakenkeg and Stonekeg gotta give the Ironkegs a run for their money somehow!
I have five missing characters, including my main. They are not and weren’t deleted, this is on blizzards end. I am seeing their titles on the communities they are on, just not the character, example, in my community at the very bottom it shows “leader” but no character name, this is the same with 5 other toons others read, " moderator" and three “member” I have a ticket and I have not been able to log on my main for 3 days now.
Can you look into my issue too please, mine are gone in-game and I have screen shots I can share too, I have a ticket open but wait times are crazy right now. Would like to talk to someone instead of getting automated messages.
Vraks not a GM nor would he be able to restore any missing toons nor would a GM be able to either despite what uve read GMS havent been replaced by bots or AI all tickets are handled by real people that use Templates.
Sorry man it is really hard for me to believe that, I have made tickets and gotten replies that have nothing to do with my issue. It just tells me that it might be a bot. After a few days I do get someone willing to work on my issue and it gets resolved. I just have to keep asking for help till a real person responds.
There was a situation where deleting one character caused a character at the top of the warband to be deleted. In many cases, the character at the top that was deleted by the system was that player’s main character, which was very frustrating for these players.
Did you perhaps delete a character and not notice that another one was deleted as well? Try using the Character Undelete feature and see if it’s there. The first link is for a ticket to see if a GM can restore the character. The second link is instructions on how to do it in-game from the character selection screen.
