Hit up a special assignment or theater troupe. Those chests give a key if you have a slot available.
I have definitely been "min-maxing’ coffer keys, lol. This week with that 5/5 delves quest I’ve been doing 3/5 of them on non bountiful T5s, then using coffers keys on a T7, and one coffer key on a T8 with a hidden trove map. The weekly itself awards a champ piece, which is the same as running a bountiful delve anyway.
I don’t want to go into each week with zero coffer keys. Just as an aside to anyone who wants to get a reserve going that’s how I’m doing it.
Neat, this will help me on my lazy days with the alts lol.
I use the Bountiful Delves Tracker WA to keep track. It also tells me how many 8s I’ve run and which Delves are Bountiful that day.
I did have to change the ID for Site 9, though. It wasn’t showing up.

So … so far we have 6 sources of “4 free keys”,
- Hallowfall light beacons - easy and quick
- Machine maintenance - kind of annoying and stress for me
- Theater Troupe - easy but slow
- Undermine Surge Pricing weekly
- Spider weekly
- Special Assignment world quests

Delves: Worldwide Research. The one that sends you to do 3 delves.
The NPC that gives timewalking and all the other rotating weeklies NEVER gives keys/sparks/etc.

Okay, I will need to remember that lol.
Probably one of the less time-consuming events to get a key I imagine.
The Siren Isle will also give a key I believe but I haven’t done in it awhile - that one would be most annoying. Oh and the pact quest in Azj - that is your spider weekly. There is at least one cache in each zone that gives gear/keys.
And of course the rotating 3 weeklies. One is always available and others may show up as catchup- Call of the Worldsoul / Archives: Seeking History / Delves: Worldwide Research.
Those are different from the world events in that they don’t count toward vault slots, but do give keys and one of the 2 weekly veteran gear.

What is even worse is i got hit with two Underpin spawns same time in Kriegvals rest in like the tiniest room and died. Then noticed it deducted one of my restored coffer keys I has just gotten before the delve.
Sigh.
This isn’t M+. You can’t lose a key.
