I have multiple alts with their Rank 3s at this point. It wasn’t exactly a feat.
be honest here. if you have a choice are you taking the guy who worked his essences or the guy that demands it doesn’t matter?
You get to Rank 5 just killing the boss. I did it on PTR on a 390-something Shaman. Not exactly hard. Rank 6-8 doesn’t even require killing the boss anymore.
Since you cannot know which essences people are using without deep diving the armory, I’ll take the guy with good IO on his main, and with appropriate ilvl and trust his judgment.
He’s kind of a virtuoso at that.
“Some responsibility” doesn’t mean “hard cap ALL THE THINGS before you dare set foot in this +2 key/normal raid”, though. There really needs to be some correspondence between the difficulty of content being attempted and what you expect/demand of other players, and for some groups it is way out of whack.
Many groups’ demands are actually just as silly as demanding full mythic raid gear to join a pug normal raid, but because non-ilvl systems are a bit more opaque, it’s not as obvious that it’s a silly requirement.
“Competitive level” is doing basically all the work there, though. You’re pretty much outright saying that you’re not satisfied with completing the content, you want to also be topping the meters while you do it. That has nothing to do with whether something is required for the content.
Right if you don’t do any content you don’;t need any gear/essence/corruption. If you do content, you do.
You have different trinkets in the other sims. Why, if you are just comparing corruption and essences.
The top gear you have 430 and 445 trinkets and the bottom ones you have 425 and 415 ones.

This will always be the case… players want the road of least resistance. Pretty much why FOTMs exist. To be honest a DK does need atleast 1 offensive essence. If I did not have an essence on my DK that did damage I would be rather bored during WQs, HVs, etc.
My main issue is how we leave friends behind during HVs if we do not save keys back to run with them. The reward will not upgrade the cloak if your ahead and mementos are not really what I am after early on. I feel like terrible not being able to run keys with my wife or friend because I already used them.
You can basically 100% bet on Baspirath to show up in any thread that mentions Blizzard doing something not ideal.
Then Yesuna usually rolls in.

and the crazy thing is, they have some of the best posting privileges.
It’s almost like it’s a reflection of the current WoW devs/employees thought process.
People that post on puppet characters are worse. Positioning themselves to throw stones at others in such a way that no one can do the same to them.

Because that is a reflection of the real world. Hyperpolarization and internalizing of ideas to such a degree that any assault to such ideas is an assault to the concept of “self”.
