Minimum level to start battlegrounds?

I’ve never done battlegrounds before and I’m wondering if I should start. It was a long time before I started doing dungeons and now I love them. I’m not normally a pvp player but I think I’d like to try battlegrounds. What level should I be before I start? Are they scaled like dungeons? It just says “random battleground” with no level listed.

you get bracketed by level, all 20-29 together, all 30-39 together, etc. you can start at level 10 if you want.

low level pvp is often full of twinks, these are toons that are decked out in some of the best gear for that level for the purpose of beating up and camping undergeared levelers, if you don’t want to run into them you can wait until level cap to pvp.

Not really. The majority of low level pvp are players in heirloom gear leveling through. Pretty much the gear that the OP has equipped is what you see a lot of players in.

Have you actually tried them? Notice how the threads have pretty much stopped? it’s because it was the same few anti twink posters inflating them, and the few who don’t care about twinks responding to the qq.

no, i haven’t played a twink in a looooong time. i figured the twink threads started to die like all the rest: we pretty much flesh out any arguments to be had, but without any blue input it ends up going nowhere with the same points and arguments being recycled thread to thread.

Not asking if you played a twink, was asking if you’ve done any low level BGs recently. The experience you get, even for losses, is insane and a good way to level and break up the monotony of questing.

tbh i can’t actually remember the last time i did low level bgs, maybe mop or cata?

Well, I can tell you the amount of twink threads were far greater than the actual amount of twinks in BGs :joy:

Can confirm. I’ve been into alts lately and have a few on each faction I work on…varying level brackets. You don’t run into twinks THAT often, even if you do there are more than likely just as many on your team, and you level out of brackets so quick it’s not much of a problem imo.

You see “so many” threads here because people run to complain the instant they think they’ve encountered one. If you see 5 anti-twink posts you need to understand there are FAR more than 5 games going on in those brackets. It’s not a epidemic like forum tourists here lead you to believe.

Yep. Also, is it a coincidence that these threads stopped pretty much once anti twinks stopped posting? :thinking:

And I guess to answer the OP, minimum level to actually start BGs is level 10. Warriors are a great class, from what I have seen. Since you are new to pvp, it might be a rough start though. You do have heirloom gear so that’s a big bonus. If you have gold, I’d say look at some enchants for gear to increase your stats. Heirlooms also scale as you level.

From what I can tell is people stopped posting because the arguments are circular. Rehashing subjective statements over and over again is not good. Some people just like to have the last word, and I think that you are a person who wants to always have the last word. People just do not want to argue with you repeatedly. Its like talking to a wall.

You can look at it that way if you want. I’d rather not have an argument, just to argue, and actually experience something first hand and document it. Which is what I did.

There are still twinks in the lower levels. Anyone who says otherwise is a liar.

Twinks are still bad for the game. Everyone knows this, including twinks.

No one said there aren’t. It’s the amount that is being argued against. If every game is a GY camp, there’s way more than twinks that are a problem for you.

Yes, and I agree. The level 19 and 29 is a super popular bracket for twinks. Jug seems to think her views and opinions are fact. I am going to stop posting though in this thread now. She will always try to have the last word.

Also a super imbalanced bracket depending on class you play. Oh, hey Lyf. See what I mean about them posting on alts to make it seem like more are posting against :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I did some 30 bracket on my horde pally as ret an holy the other week and wasn’t as bad as the forums made it out to be. There was usually 1-2 on each side on average. The skilled players were noticeable but most were not that good and would just tunnel most of the match

the only bracket you ever need to avoid is 110 the rest is not as bad as people made it out to be and notice how after those same few people posted left its been less twink spam threads

If you notice the only person keeping these threads alive is Juga. I think the problem is that these threads turn into a troll problem by twinks and people just do not want to be trolled. To have a discussion is one thing, but its not fun to argue with belligerence or refusal to understand the others viewpoint. I have been just bug reporting now instead of posting here.
