Minecraft and wow have a child. The result is a game that has raids, has crafting, has blocks, has mining, has magic, and has no ilvls, and no levels. Would you play it?

Depends on if it uses Minecraft’s skeleton or WoWs. There are a bunch of really in depth Minecraft rpg mods, but I can’t stand them because they use Minecraft’s combat system.
Sounds kinda like what Hytale (Minecraft “clone” that’s made by a bunch of the authors of the most popular MC mods) is trying to be.
Minecraft approach to mining and crafting, but with a bit more RPG depth, and TONS more options for scripting boss encounters, allowing for dungeon/raid-like experiences.
Basically a MMO, whose RPG feature was turned up to Max.
Yes. And it’s already in Development. Look at Hytale. Combines Sandbox and RPG elements.
So just modded minecraft then…?
Hmmmm idk can I be an adorable fox?
They got acquired by Riot Games. Which is great for the development because they signed free developers.
No look for Hytale trailer on YouTube.
Why did I read this as “Minesweeper and WoW had a child”?
Misreading happens to the best of us sometimes!
Honestly forgot about that game it was mentioned like years ago now looking it up it actually looks pretty good for a block game
It really does. I’m a tester for it. It’s genuinely fun.
That’s awesome! I’m a long-time League player (i.e. masochist) and have enjoyed Valorant (although admittedly I think I prefer CS:GO) and Legends of Runeterra (better than Hearthstone, imo) betas.
Game enjoyment aside, Riot’s enormous financial resources (combined with how they’re actively working on a ton of projects right now - with separate passion-project dev teams for each, rather than forcing apathetic ones to work on it) gives me a lot of hope for Hytale’s future.
It’s really good news as the development was done mostly based of Minecraft donations of Hypixel, which is nice money but very little for a game development.
I wish I could share anything but I have a NDA closure. But the Devs have posted great updates on the blog recently!
Between that and the Terraria: Journey’s End release date finally coming out, I’m too excited for the future of block-based entertainment.
Yeah! People speak low of block games often and generally have a low opinion of Minecraft. But I’ve always had a lot of fun with. It’s super fun and stimulate my creativity.
The freedoms of doing whatever I want. Like rebuilding Silvermoon, then improving Silvermoon. That was my most accomplished project.
Yay for blocks!
It was called “Everquest Next” and the game was a colossal disaster internally though before the servers were brought down you could see fragments of the ideas they were going for with “Landmark”.
I was just about to mention this.
