Taught me a valuable lesson about Founder’s Packs, I will say that much.
Sounds like Trove to me.
I’d play it for a week and then quit because i run out of content and the creators took their cash and ran (can’t blame them).
Oh that’s even better (I thought of Cube World first).
God that game trailer looked so good but then nothing ever came of it.
I remember that weird sandbox mini-game (landmark). That’s always a bad sign when developers release mini-games, reminds me of Star Citizen, they keep doing these spaceship demos and such.
The games never going to come out.
It really is incredibly relaxing and fun. I enjoy playing the huge modpacks on Minecraft that let you do a lot of urban planning kind of stuff. It’s really surreal comparing the base game to what you can do in there - on my last run, I think when I stopped (due to other games catching my attention, not getting bored necessarily) was while I was making offshore windfarms and dams (with actual electricity generation that had functional uses - thanks mods!) to fuel my metropolis.
Hytale will likely have all of that and more as baseline features, or at least the potential to add them… and if the potential is there, it’ll be done swiftly. Especially excited by how accessible the creation of content seems to be, meaning even novices can create their own stuff with a little research, and the pro modders can go further than ever.
That’s the beauty of it. It’s there to occupy us when needed or just need to relax. In between online attention and new releases.
Already kind of exists: rlcraft. Long dungeons with bosses and trash packs between.
Hytale looks kind of cool, not as blocky as minecraft (reminds me more of lego people kind of.)

Now if only it would come to Xbox One also, that would be spiffy.
Oh poo…
What platforms will Hytale be released on? Hytale will launch for PC and Mac, with the capacity to run game servers on Linux. We’ll explore the possibility of releasing the game on other platforms during development, but for now our focus is on PC and Mac.
But it is said that it is not demanding, being able to run on “an old laptop.”
Cube World flopped pretty badly.
No game in its right mind would be crazy enough to get with Minecrap.
id play it, sounds fun
Microsoft and Blizzard working together? (click here to see the rest of my rant)
If it’s not EA, Activision, or Ubisoft being greedy, it’s Microsoft. And if they aren’t finding new ways to make their consoles have bullpoop in them, like that imfamous 2013 reveal, paying fees to access online you already paid for or game pass for “free games”* and practically starting or kickstarting a generation of games with MTX in them, it’s just putting out bland or terrible titles (with exceptions of coarse, there are good microsoft titles. Zoo Tycoon 1 and 2 comes to mind) on the Xbox and eventually the Window’s store and Steam which…
Why they still bother with the xbox?..
* = Before somebody points it out, it's not bad at all they're offering a game pass that gives you free games. It's just these free games they offer to you, you have to hope to like them, or hope the ones you really want are free, keyword being hope. And i just don't personally see it being worth it to me to jump back into Xbox. To some, it might or make the current owners happy. And if your happy for the free games MS gives you, then good for you.
This also applies to Steam, Sony, GoG, Epic, Orgrin, Uplay, Nintendo, all that whenever they offer free games. I don't have a problem with Free games if it's games i want, and if it's not what i want, i don't want it, even for free.
But i digress.
…Sure, a WoW/Minecraft hybird from Microsoft and Blizzard does sounds cool.
As long it can be played single-player, i’l give it a try.
Sounds like you described Minecraft only. How do you raid?
Nothing about Minecraft appeals to me, so probably not. I can’t really get into “sandbox” games. I need goals to pursue. When I want to spend time free-forming objects and making them work, I prefer Second Life. It’s prettier.
