3 more days of MM cheesing 1shots but as someone whose been maining hunt for like 5 years midnight reminds me of when we legit lost freezing trap in legion opener lol
lose scatter, both knocks, both roots (sentinel im fine with, but entrapment come on lol), mage loses blast wave and aeghis already gets sat on for 75% of the game by ww/dh/assa
then you look at stuff like DH tree and they get 2x 30 yard teleport, distribution of changes just seems bad
For the most part, PvP looks awful in Midnight.
yeah can’t say I’m looking forward to what they cooked up so far. the addon situation feels like a half-baked mess and so does class design as a whole. It’s like they just went through and removed buttons at random without any real thought, pretty much every class I play feels worse in some way. Hunters being weaker is the dimmest and dullest silver lining i suppose… meh
I’ve got a hunch that we’ll still see a stretch where mms 100-0 in .9s from 57 yds out in midnight, and one where bm puts out unhealable melee pressure from the pillar.
If you can still create a hunter then they haven’t pruned the class enough.
oh yea i think you lose void swap and stun too so it’s not just hunter utility getting shafted
MM has a 100-0 already for midnight its one of the only specs atm that can do this due to the damage healing and hp ratio changes.
yea not a fan of the cheesy tuning, more concerned about spec not being propped up on tuning

Pacing/balance is a concern otherwise looks great, people must play off instinct alone no Boeing cockpit ui.
If mm is left with half the tools they have now to keep people at bay all blizzard will do to keep it viable is increase its damage. In the end we may end up in the same place. Despite what people are saying I dont see a bfa like boredom slow, sends me to sleep Pvp, but I see SL all over again.

For pvp, no. They are thinking about M+ and raids with all of the pruning, and then PvP just gets to land wherever it does. Like every prepatch ever, itll just be hilariously busted and we’ll bleed huge swaths of players while they get it under control up thru the first months of the expac
It’s more just the complete removal of a lot of tools. For my hunter, we lost a lot. Range charge with CA, short charge with Flanking, no more scatter to cover traps, and no more explosive trap for, well, lots of things. That’s not even everything. 
Enhance might as well be DOA. Thunderstorm is such a massive loss to not only the viability of the spec, but the play style. It’s one of the most fun abilities in the game and has so many uses. Enhance now brings nothing unique to a group. It’s just an all around garbage spec. If they prop it up with damage, who cares. That’s not fun.
Also, we went from having some amazing builds this expansion to something awful. S1 SV was one of the best iterations of the spec to date. And ATM, I’m really enjoying SB build for Enhance. It’s not perfect, does lack some damage, but still pretty fun.
I like it personally its better for the game and potential of attracting newer players but they were extremely inconsistent and executed poorly. Some specs were gutted some were not touched.
I’m fine with parring down some things, honestly. Made a power about that in respect to Enhance S1 with Totemic. There was way too many buttons, even for me. But their choices going into Midnight just make no sense. It just gets annoying to have this constant back and forth. Hunter’s have lost freezing trap, scatter, explosive trap, silencing shot, kill shot and more, only to get them all back or a version of them. We got them back because they were crucial pieces to making hunter’s viable.
Hunter’s specifically have been gutted once before while many specs went untouched. It was such a joke losing freezing trap the last time and they gave it back almost instantly. It’s like… did you guys put any thought into this? That’s where we are now. Same goes for Enhance and thunterstorm. When Enhance is bottom of the ladder, they’ll wonder what happened. Or, they won’t, and they’ll just leave it trash like they did in BFA.
Yeah i understand your frustration. Hunter gets railed while Lock for example loses nothing and gains mobility. Inconsistency on blizzards behalf
That’s what happened going in to WoD. Hunter’s got gutted. It was awful. Rogues actually picked up abilities and mages stayed untouched.
Legitimately was one of the most frustrating things for me that has ever happened in this game. I was just getting MM down and had just hit 2400 for the first time and I was hoping to keep pushing, but I couldn’t. MM was ruined and hunter’s overall made no sense. I swapped to enhance and then the same thing happened again. For enhance though, we made it a couple weeks into WoD before they gutted them.
It’s funny, if you look at my PvP achievements after WoD, I basically gave up on pushing and just did PvP very casually with friends. Having the thing you enjoy most get destroyed constantly sucks.
The changes going into Midnight are bad and there is no good logic behind them. I mean, they let this entire season rot with MM hunters and those same devs are going to decide what is and isn’t good for the game? Crazy.
Id imagine if blizzard wanted to be honest the logic behind it is they rushed this expansion/put too many resources towards housing/ other RP junk because it is or they think it is their new cash cow. If I had to guess they will try to clean up in the halfway patch or go back on it will see

I just poked around with the housing thing. I don’t get it. Bought a house. Filled it up. What’s the point? I thought it was going to be more open. I thought it would be like an actual neighborhood that you could have an open door. That it was going to be a way to meet people or something.
Nothing like a closed box with no real windows and mild claustrophobia. I thought it would be like actual houses. Guess that’s asking for too much, so instead we get nice little cells.
