The answer is everyone on these forums that talks bad about the changes and ridicules people will continue to play the game because they are hopelessly addicted to it regardless of their cynicism.
And that new and long returning players might actually give the game a chance now with the reduced complexity and the fact housing is so robust.
I think that a reset of sorts is a necessary “evil” regardless of all the hate and doom. The game was needlessly overstuffed with modifiers, aura bloat, and hoops to jump through in order to do full damage and healing. People were spoiled rotten by the Dragonflight utility, CC, and defensives overstuffing and don’t like their toys being taken away even if it’s for the greater health of the overall game experience.
I used to play a lot of a certain competitive tcg. The main streamer I used to watch would ban or time out anyone that mentioned what the next set or rotation would theoretically do to the game. We won’t know until it all happens, is what he would say. I think we should just enjoy what we have now and mentally prepare for changes.
I like and dislike some of the changes. Is it a doom like people say it is? I doubt it. I will say the people who are dooming are the ones who are always freaking about everything and probably aren’t worth listening to.
For midnight it sounds like you might be able to knock out glad. The mounts actually look good enough to tempt me, though the thought of using lfg is still a turn off for me.
This is the case in all expansions.
As for midnight changes, I think most I’ve heard about are positive changes. Current iteration of the game has too much button bloat imo.
Golden Corral still being around was news to me haha, feels like 5yrs since I’ve even thought about or heard that name, even longer since I’ve seen one.
