Hey there, I need help trying to fix the microstutter I experience in game.
It happens randomly at least once per 5 seconds and nothing seems to make it better or worse. It only happens in Wow.
It’s been happening since 10.2 came out and I’ve tried just about every suggestion I could find with no success. Fiddling with in game settings, fresh install on a new drive, tested all my hardware, tried a bunch of random tweaks people have posted, no change.
I saw someone suggest using nvidia nsight to see the specific cause but I couldn’t get it to work with wow so if anyone knows anything about that I’d appreciate the help.
When I had the microstutter issue with WoW, using Windows 11, it was because pending Windows updates were causing it. After installing the pending updates, it would go away. Go to settings and search “update” to quickly find the Windows Update section to see if there’s anything pending. Good luck resolving this issue. I feel your pain.
Open task manager when you’re playing WoW:
Are half or more of your CPU cores flat-lined? I had an issue with core parking causing the same issue /w i5 12600k
Yeah I’m using ver 3001 which is the latest on their site.
No pending updates currently.
This is interesting… About half of them are at 0% usage and the others around 30-40%. core12 is pretty much locked at 100% usage. I’m not sure if this is abnormal but I’m willing to try whatever.
