Microsoft purchasing bungie was the beginning of the dumbing down of the video game industry

starsiege tribes was a far superior franchise to halo

bill chose hot dogs with ketchup over caviar in 2000 and we have been paying for it since

I don’t understand, did Bungie ghostcode Tribes and then stop ghostcoding it when they made Halo?

wish they would buy & revitalize Gears Pop
:heartpulse: :beverage_box: :dracthyr_comfy_sip:

I’m sure they’ve probably talked about it as a possible BG idea. Last person standing gets the most honor.

There’s an article that mentions they suggested it in early Diablo 4 development as well but the idea was quickly thrown out.

for anyone that doesn’t know what tribes was, it was a FPS with jet packs

-three axis warfare
-flying vehicles
-fast aerial movement over terrain
-kills were because you expertly timed and aimed things, not because you reacted .2 milliseconds faster

I mean, that’s great and all, Tribes was cool, but I’m still not seeing how Microsoft and Bungie had anything to do with Tribes fading out beyond, like, a lot of people buying and liking Halo.

What does this have to do with WoW?

The video game industry has always been a mixed bag lol

A once active wow gold maker who did yt videos said he used to work I think in a game design company that was purchased by Microsoft and it was not great but it might of been an isolated thing.

WoW is past its prime and I can imagine even if Phil said he wanted to make WoW great again that it’ll end up just getting the bare minimum to get butts in seats per se so they can make $$ back on their investment.

stop trolling

microsoft is purchasing the company that owns wow

That isn’t trolling at all. Halo and the heap that was Star Siege have literally nothing to do with an MMORPG. WoW’s coding literally cannot go onto a consol. It was not designed for it, nor would it even be able to hold together and not just light on fire the first time you tried to boot it up.
