Microsoft Lays Off 1900

 you really showed them!

Blizzard finds a way to fool people into making them more money, those people feel like they are sticking it to “the man”. win/win

Blizzard doesn’t make money off the WoW token…according to Mike Ybarra.

Well not from me, but the person who puts the token on the AH yes.

I just use gold.

im thinking that was the plan in the first place before the merger went thru there like liek mike you come on board make sure the merger goes thru get kotick out and then your free to leave… maybe mike wanted to leave but they would not let him until the deal was done… and the trash taken out … I mean this is too convienent

Tbh I think he wanted to leave as soon as Microsoft bought it.

He already left Microsoft once after a long career there.

yeah, WoW II “The Survival”

Yeah, feels like BFA 2 gonna hit us hard this summer

Here’s hoping it was the hearthstone development team. That game has been circling the drain for years.

I’m hoping the majority of that 1900 was Blizzard, because It’s ghetto over here honey we need changes.

Someone bragging about getting perma-banned on other forums is calling others children. Someone point me towards the irony, I can’t seem to find it.

Was more stressing the fact I get banned fast.

But Mr 7k trolling posts is good.

This is so funny I’m wheezing… This is EXACTLYYYY why I canceled cable so long ago. This and a few streaming services are far far better.

…let’s all celebrate that acquisition again.

Gg blizzard…

Should have been expected. When companies like this merge, they have obviously planned there would be some overlap so they can cut some resources without losing much if anything. It is one of the main reasons to merge large companies in the first place.

An 8% reduction in staff is not a big deal after a merger of this size.

We can all calm down and quit with the hyperbolic hand-wringing.

This happened when my company was bought out two and a half years ago. There weren’t a whole lot of redundancies, but there were a few, mostly in middle management and admin. There were none in my department within engineering, or at least none that I ever heard of.
