this is actually really good for wow. Microsoft has had a lot of success in the video game industry, and they have good leadership.

Microsoft owns Halo, why would they want another shooter to compete with it? I actually kind of hope they put Call of Duty in the trashcan

Online games with a large playerbase yield extremely rich datasets which are only going to become more sought after as metaverse hype grows.
The way people interact in MMOs (especially more old-school ones like classic) is closer to what you would expect from a metaverse type product than CoD. There’s no way they close it down.
I would favorite that pet
The whole concept of the metaverse reminds me of the movie Demolition Man. Eventually we’ll all just interact with VR headsets as an avatar

Microsoft isn’t that stupid. WoW still has some meat on it and is still a moneymaker for ActiBlizz.
