Method's insane strategy to get in raid shape!

TL:DW (didn’t watch); Essentially Method bypassed the personal loot system by learning and equipping all professions items at 400ilvl, then unlearning each so that they could trade 400 ilvl gear to other players. They loaded up on Seals of Wartorn fate and continuously ran raids over and over for upgrades. They supposedly wiped out 3 servers worth of auction house items and owe 100 million+ in gold debt to various guilds…

It’s funny how these guys get so much love on the forums but any mention of He Who Must Not Be Named gets immediately flagged as spam/advertising.

Fans of Method aren’t rabid and cultish in their behavior like that guy’s fanbase is.

As far as I know Method also hasn’t made any videos about how to actively grief people in the game either.

It’s a matter of perspective I guess, they have different kinds of players as fans. Personally, I dislike both those channels.

I should probably remove that mention if I were you, you’re going to be flagged by some bored teen or easily triggered adult. :stuck_out_tongue:

Interesting that you say that you have no idea who the person is I very pointedly did not name, but you know what he looks like. The reactions of the people here always amuse me.

I suppose if your Method it was worth it. To me, I am starting to worry about the direction of this game. I know it doesn’t affect me since I don’t raid mythics yet, but I have aspirations to one day do so, and it just saddens me that this is even a viable way to gear up…

I don’t really follow world first races or whatnot so I have an indifferent opinion of Method.

However I actively find Asmongold and his fanbase irritating.

This is why people are salty about the removal of master loot.
This kind of BS should never have to happen.

The sheer amount of time, effort and gold they put into simply being able to trade pieces as if Master Loot is still in the game really makes me wonder if taking it out to begin with was good move for the game overall.

I see a lot more posts about the former than the latter. And just as annoying.

Let not forget they get proper sleep and workout as well

Shows how garbage Personal Loot is.

Knowing a face is far different from knowing the person.
Are you a fan of his? Looks like my guts were right.

The worst part of it is that removing Master Loot was a really controversial decision and now that WF guilds have still found a way around this convoluted mess Blizzard have more or less thrown their hands up and admitted that they’ll never be able to stop it so they won’t be taking further measures against it.

However they still won’t be reverting the dumb decision that led to this mess in the first place.

I always wonder what I’d be capable of accomplishing if I didn’t need to waste a total of 3 hours commuting to work on top of an 8 hour shift…

Heck even a job where I could work remotely would be game changing for me!

It only affects Mythic Raiding race which less than 0.1% of the playerbase access to, so it’s a minor meaningless change.
Actually, Master Loot changes helped many players not to get screwed by corrupt guilds.

I never thought it was a good idea to begin with. Worked fine for years and years.

Why didn’t you just use this for your OP instead of linking a video?

This is true. But for some of us with mythic raiding aspirations, or those of us who’s guilds will break through past heroic sometime in the next few months, the breakdown of what Method did to win is rather disheartening. To me it deflates some of the excitement I had about the world first races and with WoW’s raiding scene in general. That all my guild needs to do is have enough gold to buy our way to victory…(not including the skill part…)
