Arguably a larger % of the playerbase then what raiding has. And of course it would. I would expect participation in any activity that started as one of the best ways to gear up, then had it’s main reward removed, to crater.
I’m not aware of any changes, I thought they were just doing the same as last tier, where the M+ cache reward was only lowered during the first week, then went back up when Mythic Raid opened. So is it different this time?.
Don’t people farm those for titanforges though? I know I got a 425 belt from a +10 last week. Yeah, I know, you can’t count on that, but I have a decent amount of titanforges from m+ on my main, more than I have actual mythic raid gear. Plus, it’s heroic raid gear. If you’re a heroic raider, then your time is faaaar better spent doing m+ 10s over actual heroic raids.
Blizzard should be giving us options, not a clearly superior way to farm gear.
Of course they did, because they were testing season 3 and they had to change it to season 2 rewards for the release candidate. Show me where Blizzard said they were reducing the ilvl of weekly chest rewards relative to past seasons.
It used to bother me, but now I don’t care. I quit wow for the entire period of mop through wod. Came back in legion and fell in love with m+. What I enjoy in wow is playing numerous specs in m+, usually capping around +15. No interest in pushing keys super high, or raiding.
It used to piss me off that mythic raiding, content I just don’t enjoy provided so much better gear, but at this point I’ll get as geared as I do from weekly 10s and never anything more. I’m fine with it. I do think m+ should provide equal rewards though.
Maybe you are new here. Blizzard rarely gives us updates on things until we find out. THEY are notorious for doing things in the ptr and then implementing them with little information on their patch notes or heads up. Recent examples of this are the portals in dalaran that did not get discussed until people on the forums brought this up more can be found at /.h.ttps://wow.gamepedia.com/Patch_8.2.0_(undocumented_changes).
In other words unless you need to show me they wont in an official blizzard post before I believe they wont. Ultimately we should find out in about 1 week.
You said it yourself, why should M+ give loot of equal value to mythic raiding when it takes far more preparation, time investment, and manpower? In all seriousness, i don’t want to demerit m+ enthusiasts, but i don’t understand this entitlement of wanting the same rewards for much less effort.
Its not the same reward. As it stands mythic plus gives 5 ilvls less than mythic raiding for a weekly chest of 410 loot that can titandorge to 420. Mythic raiders get 415 loot that can titanforge to 425 loot. Also mythic raiders can get multiple pieces of loot per weekly raid, like 2-4 pieces by the end of week one. This means that it is not the same reward both in base item level and quantity recieved.
So this only speculation and there has been no confirmation from Blizzard. I see no reason to believe M+ wont be business as usual when it comes to loot.
Speculation based on ptr changes that were implemented to the ptr are not to be discounted. When they removed the portals in the ptr without announcing anything people were angry and are still angry. Maybe blizzard should try to communicate better
