Pretty sure M+ participation is massively down this xpac exactly because Blizzard decided to start catering dungeons to that 1% crowd.
Although itās kind of funny that we can now get to almost the same gear level as top M+ rewards just for turning in pearls that we get from Bejeweled and Jumping Jellies.
I donāt care about Method, theyāre outliers. But I can say that myself and pretty much all of my raid team had the majority of our gear come from m+ over raiding. Like a pretty large majority. Thatās just from my experience though, Iām not sure what youāre basing your statements on.
Yeah the MDI scene was fun at first like arena. Now itās starting to change how the majority of us try to have fun in an attempt to make MDI more entertaining.
Esports are the death of everything in the mmo genre.
I donāt believe itās ever been like that, but I didnāt play much the first season. In season 2, the end-of-dungeon gear has always been heroic ilvl.
What I am saying is there is nothing wrong with mythic+. It has never offered the same gear as mythic raids, ever.
If the raid gear design was poor thats a seperate issue.
I dont care for the fact that classes are designed to be played at mythic level gear. It leaves lower levels to be clunky and seem broken. Hence not caring for a game design around professional players that really dont have any influence.
Also mythic + is their E-sport. I cant see blizzard forcing mythic + players to raid in order to compete in mythic+.
They think theyāre pro sports, but forget that pro sports are the teeny tiny top of a gigantic pyramid of everyone from Michael Jordan down to your local basketball court, most of which operates completely outside of the pro jurisdiction.
Imagine if the NBA owned and operated every court in America and people had to play NBA rules on NBA-regulation courts and pay an entrance fee for all of their pickup games.
Thatās basically esports. Blizzard changed M+ to be MDI-worthy and in the process killed their own grassroots support.
I see you are one of those guys who only do one m+ run per week for the weekly cache.
You might find it absurd, but a lot of people do m+ for the challenge, with gearing having little to do with it.
At the end of the day, it sounds like a you problem to me.
All the end rewards for a 10 have always been heroic range and the weekly is always 10 higher if you did your highest.
Personally Iād be alright with knocking the rewards down by 5 so that 10ās reward 5 below heroic and have the weekly chest reward 5 above it. It would make the rare titanforge still a nice piece but keep our power levels right between heoric and mythic.
That is one compromise I could live with if it came to it. Iām mainly there for the fun of pushing keys but I deff enjoy the gear that comes with it.
Tell me about it. There is a substantial set of people who PvP just like one popular streamer and it makes me bring as many roots as possible just so I can stop them from strafing back and forth like their life depends on it.
Iāve always wondered how good pvp would be right now if arena never became a thing. The 3v3 aspect is somewhat balanced due to them balancing around it.
But 10 and up suffer greatly and in turn take the other 75% of pvp and turn it into a global zergfest.
Supposed to be world of warcraft the problem is they left the war part out when they decided to make arenas their balance point.
Blizzard changed how mythic + loot worked this xpac. Completing a 15 level key was a guaranteed 3 chest reward if I remember correctly. Completing in time added to that.
More loot means more chances to titanforge.
If completing mythic + is a challenge vs the loot, the same can be said about mythic raiding. Its not about the gear its about the challenge.
There is no issue and if blizzard is seriously thinking this is something that needs to be changed in the game 9.0 is going to be more hot trash. There are by far bigger issues in this Beta release than loot levels.
They give Heroic from the run, but Mythic -5 from the cache. Not factoring in TF/WF of course.
What OP is an upsetti spaghetti about is that until TEP (Mythic IIRC) is released, gear from M+ will be capped so you canāt just spam M+ all week and get full 430+ before mythic actually opens.
Raiding should not be the only way to get gear. I do believe Mythic raiding should receive the highest ilvl since it requires more people. Highest level M+ mechanics can be debated are harder than most if not all mythic raiding mechanics.
I think the confusion is in numbers. 5 ilvl difference in BFA is not the same as 5 ilvl difference in other expansions.
With consistent weekly 410ās and the repeatable nature of M+, itās fairly straight forward to get to mythic ilvls.
My 8/9M Druid, that consistently pushes +18-+20 keys regularly: Ilvl = 416.
My 9/9H 1/9M Paladin, that does 1 +10 key a week: Ilvl = 414.
As to the OPā¦ This sounds like fake newsā¦ They always cap it down for the first week so that all the mythic teams arenāt spamming M+ to get quick 430 gear in prep for Mythic opening. They learned from their mistake with EN to do thisā¦
