Method say Blizzard Do - A Mythic + Rant

What are you basing these numbers off?

I am willing to bet Method doesn’t really about that. I am sure they will still get plenty, plus it isn’t like they need the gold.

Though if it’s just trawling the armoury or whatever for it’s data, I’d imagine it’s also including inactive players. So the amount of M+ raiders might be higher.

WoWprogress has 42% of active guilds clearing Jaina and 5% clearing Mythic, but of course, that’s only guilds which have killed at least one normal boss. It obviously doesn’t count non/PuG raiders.

Didn’t Blizzard openly say they were capping the M+ rewards until Mythic Palace was available or something?

You say lazy, but it’s a very big success and one of the soul reasons my friends and I are still subbed. Not everyone wants to be a raider or do the hamster wheel of death pvp grind (I did my fair share).

Mythic dungeons fit that middle ground of doing something challenging without sacrificing your entire night to a 4 hour wipe fest. It’s very liberating to not be tied down to some other persons schedule and being able to get on and do some progression for an hour or two with some buddies and get excited about the next night to try and push even further.

No more waiting on 4-7 no shows or being apart of a dreaded guild of raid loggers that do absolutely nothing else but show up on raid night and log out right after.

It’s just not for everyone like most things, but mythic+ fills in the gap for those of us who don’t wanna be forced into a boring system to progress our characters. It’s the challenge without the massive time commitment.

I got my keystone master 15 last season, so I enjoy the high keys. They should reward mythic level loot at those key levels and just get rid of the weekly chest.

I don’t think I ever heard a Method player ever complain about mythic +, especially considering they actively play them for both progression and tournaments

If anything, the reason its being changed is enough people complained their RNG didn’t get them what they wanted.

its like the same reason reason people complain about titanforged. The rng gods didn’t shine on them, so its a problem.

I typed in Cutting edge into the search and it seems Jana is one of the highest in all the expansions… apparently 1.21% is pretty high for CE. although not sure what they are basing that 1.21% off of.

Most of my gear comes from m+, not mythic raiding. So I guess results may vary?

Honest question here: Do you really believe that completing a m+10 every week (not even on time) is comparable to killing a mythic boss?

Mythic+ was too rewarding, it was faaar superior to mythic raiding. Period. Did they maybe swing the pendulum too far? Time will tell, but something had to be done.

No, no they can’t. Not unless someone is feeding other people gear. There is a weekly lockout. Is there a weekly lockout with m+?

Mythic+ doesn’t give the same ilvl gear as mythic raids. It’s at heroic level. You have to have something forge to get a mythic ilvl item.

I can’t imagine Blizz making a change like this in the middle of the expansion but you never know.

I do think the rewards from M+ need to be looked at in the next x-pac though. I don’t think the end of dungeon reward should ever reach Heroic iLevel if only for the disparity in both organizational requirements and lack of reward lockouts in Mythic Plus.

Depends on the boss.

I’d consider mythic champs to be one of the lowest thought kill requirements out of any boss.

But a part of me does believe you should have to time the 10 key to get the max weekly reward loot. I feel like your weekly chest should be based on your highest successful run. I’m alright with the cap but I believe you should only be rewarded with the max loot if you time the max requirement.

I don’t think it would change all that much in terms of people getting gear. But it would limit those one and done completion runs.

As Taree said it also doesn’t reward mythic loot. It rewards heroic based loot and the majority of heroic bosses are brain dead easy like most mythic+ bosses so the reward seems spot on.

Only warforge and up can move it into mythic range.

My pally for instance is a 419 ilvl and roughly 415-417 equip depending on what I swap in and out. It took all season to reach that point and I was seeing mythic raiders with that ilvl or higher within the first 2 months.

Just to clarify for everyone confused by this topic… M+ rewards will change and go up the week of July 9th once season 3 opens up…

a m+ 10 weekly chest will still give you a 440 ilvl piece (5ilvl lower than mythic 445 ilvl)…

Nothing’s changed… they just didn’t increase the ilvl for M+ until the new season starts…

OP doesn’t know wtf he is talking about.

Blizzard has not confirmed or denied anything but this was in the ptr. Blizzard needs to clarify this before release or else they will have another situation where people are expecting one thing based on the ptr and get another thing on live just like the 415 weapon “bug”.

See converstions about this in the ptr.

They didn’t. This is the OP inflecting future drops because the Season 3 item level bump hasn’t happened – because Season 3 hasn’t started (hint hint) – and assuming that Blizzard is going to cap M+ gear lower this time around. First chest of S3 will probably be capped at S2 levels just like the first chest of S2 was capped at S1 levels.

Yea that’s what i figured.

Had me scared for a second.

Yeah everything I have read is its the same as it was before. 430 for 10+ 440 in your chest.

Well previously it was 5 i-levels short of mythic gear, but there was a fairly high chance of forging. Now I believe it’s actually 5 i-levels above heroic. I might be wrong on that, I’m just going by what I heard.

AoTC means absolutely nothing anymore since its sold all day/every day.

For all the mythic raid babies out there it doesnt offer the same gear. Mythic raiders got 415 gear last season… mythic+ got a 410 piece in a weekly chest.

Titanforging to 425 could happen in a normal level raid.

This is all fake news.

The fact people even care about Method and no lifers is hilarious. I really could care less for content designed for people that play 24-7 or for a living. WoW is a game for my spare time its not my lifestyle.
