tournament settings are different, even in league pro players rarely get to play their favorite champions and have to learn new ones asap and be proficient at them
ya i know its league and its easier for pros to pick up new champs (although this is only true in some cases when compared to wow) but the point is that that is just how it is in a tourney setting

Ehh late legion you wouldn’t really reroll. There was more reward for perfecting your comp vs rerolling to something you’re horrible at. That’s prt of what made the move so hype and popular to begin with.
Imo wow is best in times like that. Really good multiclassers still are super valuable, but otherwise perfecting your comp is still more important which means you can really feel as your time invested is rewarded. Those are the points where WoW feels more like a fighting game where just knowing your matchups and win conditions to their peak matters more than playing whats fotm/op. The times WoW is boring to watch is when it’s like a moba and MU’s lack depth and you just are focused on counterpicking only and playing things you suck at but are so broken it doesn’t matter

you cannot compare a LoL “character” to a WoW toon in any universe sorry bad example.
the amount of personal investment people have in their WoW “mains” is pretty insane
either way, seeing jellybeans on mage, absterge on rdruid, smexxin on dk, snuts on rogue, rosita on dk, cdru ffs, i could go on all day.
it’s just not cool.
hell even dilly practically mains a dk now

Sounds like blizzard is letting the meta evolve organically. I guess its evolved into RMX 
Rosita dk has been a thing for a while tho and he’s actually good at it, snutzr has been like one of his main alts since cata and his multiclassing skill has been a selling point as a player regardless of metas, smexxin alts are pretty similar
Only like Cdru/me on alts/jelly on mage are pretty troll things to see (altho I still think Cdew is good at disc). I have no reason to play Dk now though since Milk/kaska have been too busy irl and I only was playing it for Dk Dh
just because snutz is in an insane multiclasser doesnt mean i want to see snutzr

and yes rosita almost won bcon on dk i know all this already

i would agree with this 100%. I loved associating the name with the spec when it actually had an identity. Kind of like Dilly said previously its what makes teams like nLite and the move so exciting to watch because its not the same re-rolled top of the game crap its what there good at and known for being good at. Highest respect goes to those players dilly included. It simply put isnt possible to play LFG as a non “in” spec anymore so much so players sitting 1500 with only 1550 achieves are declining because “rsham sucks” and the like and its disgusting.
That was during the start of Legion. Start of every xpac, as most should know already, is pretty imbalanced and forces players to play the spec that performs relatively better than others especially when it comes to Bcon. Throughout the course of Legion however, Cdew did end up playing other classes but he did stick to rsham after he joined up with Mes and Trill. For me, I really liked watching the Legion tourneys after Blizzcon 2017. The 2018 Spring Cup/Summer Cups were insanely fun- as Dilly had mentioned seeing main classes play unorthodox comps (Pika’s RPS, Cdew’s WW/DK, Chan’s RLS/WWLS, or Dilly’s jungle) and making the tourney scene really exhilarating to watch.
True I get your point, I think from my PoV I’m still ok with alts when it’s something they’re good at and it’s a situational intelligent pick.
For example, Rosita on DK for that game 7 I actually loved even though it’s not him on mage. It was a really cheeky pick and he’s a great Dk imo so it was cool to see that strat get saved for so long (they’ve been wging with that for months), and was perfect in the Bo7
Snutzr again I’m ok with just since I feel it’s something unique he has, just like how Kubzy or Gore on any healer I can always expect to be sick.
But yeah for me I just don’t like alts when match quality is actually really low from it. If you’re sick at an alt in a meta where being a main is favored, I find that really interesting. Or if the alt is for some really cheeky counterpick comp that is rarely seen.
But alts suck to watch for me when it’s just getting picked over your char you own at. Just my opinion
