I think that “real” gothic metal is something like Saturnus or Type O Negative. The Birthday Massacre is technically some kind of pop goth act. I dunno. Doesn’t matter too much, really. But here, have a Saturnus song.
I saw Devy back in March and they played March of the Poozers. They also played Disco Inferno. It was pretty excellent.
I’ve heard of that one before xD. I don’t know much about goth metal tbh.
Ah, I love Type O and birthday massacre. They both got a completely different take. I’d describe Type O as going so low you have to go out and grab a new pair of trousers
and birthday massacre is like, a mixed basket of devil worshipping bunny rabbits and bubble gum chewing anime waifus

Yeah we all just like to rock, be it Goth Metal Hair Bands or old school Speed Metal and ones like Red Dirt Metal or Southern Rock.
Type O Negative were my favorite band of my teen years. Haven’t been able to listen to them since Peter Steel died until recently. There’s a genuine tragedy. Here’s a good representation of their best stuff.

When I think Heavy Metal, I think Iron Maiden , Priest, Sabbath, Ozzy, Dio… along those lines. Most of this thread is lost on me and honestly… a little curious to be lumped in with. No offense… I just wish most of this would have some other tag. I know there are different genre of metal… but a lot of this needs even something entirely removed from the metal sector.
