yeah, i will go for some Swallow the Sun
saw them with Amorphis a few years ago, really good live.
As soon as I can, I plan on going to an Amorphis concert. Under the Red Cloud is one of my favorite albums released last decade and Iād love to see 'em play it live.
In the meantime, have some Heavy Devy. I got to see him in concert this past March, right when the coronavirus was breaking out, and he had a bunch of stuffed animals on stage to āprotect himself from all of [our] nasty bodies.ā
Hey now, thereās plenty of great rap out there!
You might like Devin Townsend. He does occasionally use harsh vocals but his cleans are just out of this world.
probably wasting my breath here given your comment about rapā¦ but most of those men and women can sing as well. itās a different vocal style, not āi canāt sing so iāll just yell really loud and hope nobody noticesā.
obviously there are exceptionsā¦
I love metal when playing! I usually prefer something really epic sounding, so prog metal like Symphony X, fantasy-themed, like Blind Guardian, or just downright evil while DPSing as a Shadow Priest (Slayer fits so well when raiding with my guild - see the guild name!).
Any kind of metal works, though. I just tend to prefer prog and thrash.
Lately Iāve been listening to
Motionless in White,
Ice Nine Kills,
Breaking benjamin,
Slipknot
Trivium
Dope
Ded
Amaranthe
All that remains
In this moment
New Years Day
Mushroomhead
List goes on!.
You know that actually takes talent to do right? Rap uses pitch shifts and auto tune. Get that crap outta here
They all use distortion. Sounds pretty similar to me.
It actually takes a lot of talent and practice to be able to growl in such a way without ruining your voice, especially if you mix growls and more melodic singing
Iām still in love with this thread. Thank you so much metalheads of WoW. Iāve had hours of great listening thanks to you.
You guys rock
Didnāt see anyone post these guys, butā¦they are extremely talented and I thoroughly enjoyed this song. So completely wasnāt expecting it. Especially
when 1:15 hitsā¦
And these guys from Germany are awesome. Discovered them by accident when I was backpacking through Europe in my late teens. GREAT discography too.
One big family of metalheads One of the things I love about most of the metal scene (Or at least how it was before I had kids and got all responsible)ā¦Doesnāt matter who you are, you are part of the metal brother/sisterhood. Iāve met exceptions, but generally a huge crowd of great folks.
I have to admit I miss his Skullet from his Strapping Young Lad days, but Devy is such a musical genius. Easily one of my most favorite guitarists/singers with awesome rangeā¦to boot (eh), he is a hell of a nice guy and amazing performer live along with his crew.
