actually wanted to respond to this but …
drain life (i think its when talented with master channeler) has a cooldown. 15-20 seconds if i remember correctly.
15 seconds with the Master Channeler rune.
Now my question is does that cooldown start when they cast the ability or when the ability ends.
Becuase everytime i outrun it as a druid as soon as i get back into melee its cast again.
When it’s cast.
okay so it has no Cd got it. It literally takes me 10-15 seconds to run out of its range. (as the fastest moving class in the game.) Thank you for proving my point.
No it has a 15 second CD. If you break the dot by going 20 (or 24 yards) it doesn’t reset the CD.

still though travel form out and break it and then run back in.
still though killing the pet first (depending on which pet is out and if its a fel puppy its probably a good lock) is the best course of action.
pets arent subject to the pvp dampening on your damage. meaning you do full damage to the pet like its a mob in pve.
pet should die within seconds which will force another cooldown (death coil) to get you off of it or they can let pet die and quick summon one (15 mins cooldown) . you probably can kill the pet the second time too before lock kills you and then he is screwed.
its setting up to beat them instead of going full bore vs someone built to beat a melee char or at least to tank alot of dmg.
also want to add as a person that ran a sl/nf lock , killing my pet pisses me off and you would be doing the world a favor to piss off as many locks as you can

okay you two please listen. THE CD begins as soon as its cast right? if the cooldown begins ticking as soon as its cast. You have to TAKE TIME TO RUN AWAY. count that time PLEASE. PLEASE COUNT THE AMOUNT OF SECONDS IT TAKES TO RUN AWAY AT FULL SPEED AS A ROUGE OR A FERAL . ITS LITERALLY 15 SECONDS. WE DONT JUST MAGICALLY TELPORT 20 yards MY GUY. EVEN AS A ROUGE WITH SPRINT.

bait the dl at a little distance with a feint as its probably the first thing they do.
or stealth and eat the pet then the lock.
the only thing keeping that sl lock alive is the passive 30% damage reduction /share with the pet.
even after that the dl wont keep them alive through someone stuck on them.
always murder the pet and then the lock is vunerable.
I have no issue killing them in BG’s, as I have stated before.
And again, skill issue.

You cant use Soul Link in Metamorphosis.

again stay on your pve server. with your PVE takes with 15 other people to help kill your your target in a BG.
You have no skill thats why your on a pve server

No I’m on a PvP server because I want to PvP when I want to PvP. I don’t like being ganked when I’m going to a dungeon/raid or questing.

also why are you talking about killing the pet. Ive tried it hundreds of times its not a viable strategy. thats why i said it first post.
When I’m doing BG’s on my Warlock (Affliction BTW) I just Curse of Agony and Corruption the pet and they die in a few seconds. It’s not like hunter pets.
i do becuase it actually takes skill to win. skill you dont have.
There is no skill ganking someone 20+ levels below you are when they are in greens while you are in full BiS.

thought you meant sl locks which killing their pet is a viable and right thing to do.
meta locks can be banished or turn evil (pally fear).
i prefer the banish as it last longer .
