Stop going mid, its really that simple.
Every single time you guys go mid without thinking and lose terribly then continue to go mid without changing strategy.
Go for a tower.
Adjust your strategy. When 1 thing isn’t working you need to change it up not keep repeating it.
Honestly as Horde it feels like a coin toss. As someone who frequently just sits on BeT, I get to watch the carnage from a nice view and I gotta say it’s usually 3 outcomes.
A. Alliance outguns Horde and wins mid.
B. Ret pally naruto runs in with bubble and bursts and everyone freaks out and Horde line is broken.
C. Horde somehow wins mid. Idk how. Maybe we outgun the Alliance. Sorcery was probably involved.

The first teamfight in mid seems to decide the match though, so I’m not really surprised that’s the default/go-to strat for pugs.
In an RBG setting or with a premade/coordinated group you can pull off wins without mid, but if it’s the typical pugs vs pugs game then 2 bases + mid control usually wins it.
Blizzard needs to just scrap unrated EoTS and make it the same as rated. The base cap mechanism and knock cheese potential in unrated definitley limits intelligent play.

Hard disagree, the main thing that makes EoTS fun is all the opportunities for knockbacks/cheesing other players.
When I’m playing BGs on my Warrior and EoTS happens to pop I immediately respec to Prot and then go “bowling” in mid

Oh, it’s definitley fun/funny. Just not very sporting. Lol
I feel like the way it only feels that way because basically every knock back in the game bar the ones tanks have were designed to be used defensively. Imagine if there was a melee dps that could consistently do the KT racial. Now that would be fun.
Agree with your disagree. Iv mained mage every season since I started mid BC except WoD S1 when I switched to Hunter. I don’t know if I’v ever had more fun in randoms than I had that season in EotS and AB.
That’s simply not true. The first fight only decides it if everyone goes mid.
If a group of 4 split off and cap a base while the rest stall mid, you can win with 3 bases.
I’ve won countless games by going for bases while everyones messing around mid yet for some reason Alliance never wants to go for towers now despite mid being alosing strat
Still need people to go mid to offer some resistance. If not, only 1 horde player will cap the flag while the other 10 folks who went mid with him, instantly peel back and reinforce nodes.
dang, i actually have really bad luck in eots as horde.
for some reason horde never uses bloodlust/timewarp… and they get crushed because the enemy team does lust and their dmg/heals are way higher.
and even if u ask nicely “we still have time warp available, maybe use it on next big team fight” you just get insulted for some reason.
horde has been very weird lately… 9/10 mages just dont press time warp. its really odd. i cant quite wrap my head around it
EotS is one of my least favorite bgs. The bleak aesthetic and gameplay is crap.
Nah. I pay my $20 a month and I wanna knock all the cows off the edge. It gets me off

The point of going mid is you wipe the team you take the flag then you push on their side. So even if you go around they’re gonna go on your side and just take your nodes also. If your team loses the team fight and the opposite team is on your side pushing to that tower you’re gonna lose that tower also.
Sometimes people hang out in mid just to maximize honor kills. I’m not saying that’s optimal for the overall objective of the battleground, but a lot of people do that.
If I see you mid in EotS I’ll wave to you.
