I went to Silithus and there were no quests there. I tried to accept the War Within quests from the Adventure Guide and I couldn’t. I deleted the quest and couldn’t get back to Dornogan lol. Picked up the Recap and had to start the Shadowy Pursuits again.

Is the scroll in the library in the keep or where all of the portals are? I can’t find any scroll.
Same problem for me as well. This is really gonna drive away new and returning customers.

Got a reply from support apparently they are aware of the issue and are looking into I guess we wait or try to fix it with the suggestions given. It’s not ideal but crap happens hopefully it’s fixed sooner rather than later.

I figured it out. The problem is we are trying to do a RECAP when we have to do the actual campaign. What fixed it for me was to completely DROP the RECAP.
- Make sure you do the Silithus into quest line where you speak with Jaina.
- Enter the Heart Chamber.
- Go to Dalaran (This was the tricky part for me, because none of the quests showed up as campaign quests, infact, none of the quest givers even had ! above them, they show up as “low level” quests. You have to actually look for the quest givers and click them to initiate the quest)
- Do all 16 quests in the “Dalaran Intro” storyline (Search it up on wowhead).
- Once you complete quest “Departure” you will be sent to Isle of Dorn, the way you were meant to go. Here you will start the quest “Violent Impact”.
The way I understand this problem is, we all tried to do the RECAP instead of progressing through the actual game, and that’s what tripped everyone up. Ignore the RECAP and do each quest traditionally and you will be fine.
EDIT- This will allow you to fly/port/mage port in Dornogal
I was able to get a work around to work and get pass this issue. It takes a bit but here is what I did to get past this issue.
- First you will want to set your hearth stone to Dornogal’s inn. This is just in case the portal is missing for you in Orgrimmar.
- Next you will need to back out of the recap using the little red X not the recap banner. This should put you back on the Dragon Isles where the book was.
- From here head to Orgrimmar and fly to Silithus and look for Thrall and Jaina, they should be there and have the “War Within” Quest. Take this quest and start questline.
- Follow the quest line all the way through until you complete the quest Recompense which is about 2 quest after the battle at the Meadery where you blow up the bugs.
- With this quest completed you should be able to return to the Dragon Isles again and click on the books to contiue the recap. Once you are back in the recap you should be able to fly back to Dornogal and talk with Merrix. This should also fix the flying issue as well.
One thing to keep of note is you may have to log in and out after this point to get the next part of the quest to appear or at least I did.

This is not OUR problem for how we’re playing it. The entire point of a recap is to skip those tedious intro quests, and catch up to the main game. This is the sole purpose of the recap system, and currently it’s bugged.
I’m posting this for the bump in awareness, as a several hour work around is not a “fix” by any means.

I finally got past this today. Here’s how…
I had exited the recap using the red X on the recap ribbon and logged out in Stormwind.
Then I quit playing for a couple days.
Upon login, I had the quest to speak to Brann Bronzebeard to skipp the level up campaign.
This made the portal to Dornogal appear in the wizards tower.
I traveled to Dornagal and set my hearthstone to dornogal.
Then, I went and spoke to the book at Dornogal outside the Foundation hall and reaccepted the recap as “continue”.
I went back into the Foundation hall and used the Portal to SW.
Once at SW, I clicked on the book and then the “I am lost, teleport me back…”
This teleported me to where Anduinn is kneeling and you can accept the quest to talk to Merrix.
Then I used my Dornogal hearthstone to return to Dornogal.
When I finally re-entered the foundation hall AGAIN, Merrix was finally there and I was able to complete it.
Worked on my 2nd Character, too.
dint work for me, i travel to silitus and no Trall and no Jaina, just bronzebeard with no quest. Deem

Just came back after a looooong WoW break and hit this. Not sure how to progress/ if i should just wait (and which content is blocked behind the end of this quest).
So, I finally got myself past this bug.
First, you’ll click the X next to the Lorebook.\
Then you go to Bronzebeard to do the “skip” catch-up quest.
Select “Yes” when it asks, “Are you sure?”
Go back to the Lorebook and hit “Continue,” then select the “Leave Vehicle” button and go to the building. Merrix and the group will be there again, and you can continue on.
