I have 2 battlenet account and under those batttlenet account ive made a wow acount each. I now want to move 1 wow account from 1 battlenet account to the other battlenet account. If i do so will i keep the achievements ive earned on that account that i intend to move? Both accounts are under my name
No all BOA mounts pets and most achievements will stay with the original account.
Original wow account or original battlenet account?
I believe original bnet account.
Ok thanks. I hope GM can clarify it for me
To be fair ur not gaurenteed a blue response not a GM this is a player to player support forum.
You actually do get to decide which of the licenses to transfer to the other, so you would need to figure out which one has what you really want to keep.
It also needs to be mentioned that account-wide unlocks (such as dragonriding traits and whatnot) stay with the account too and will not transfer. You would be starting from scratch unless you’ve got them unlocked on both.
Please be sure to really read through the article linked above me so you really know the ins and outs of what you keep and what you lose by doing the transfer.
so it means those mounts wont transfer?
i mean achievement and mounts are bind to wow account or bind to battlenet acct?
Achievements and mounts are bound to the WoW account as per Leilleath’s post above.
well if its bound to wow account then i should be able to transfer those along with my wow acct
It is bound to the B.net account. Those things remain with the source account, as I quoted from Vrak and as laid out by the rules listed.
What it should or shouldn’t be isn’t up for debate. The rules that Blizzard laid down are the rules. Account-bound things are bound to the battle.net account, not the WoW account. You aren’t merging anything, but instead are transferring one WoW license to another battle.net account.
Yes but that WoW account is under one Battle.net account and you’re moving to another Battle.net account. So to quote:
Any Pets, Toys, Mounts, Appearances and Account Wide achievements/progress remains with the source account. This means if you are moving a license to a different Battle.net account it will lose any of those on that Battle.net account,
is it possible to merge 2 battlenet acct together then?
No. You caught me as I was just editing my post to explain it above.
You’re not merging anything, only moving one WoW license between two battle.net accounts. It is not possible to merge b.net accounts.
so the bottomline is i wont be able to use those mounts and toys on the acct i want to transfer to
Correct thats the way its setup.
Not likely tho u can put a suggestion in the ingame suggestion feature via any under 20 toon on a inactive account or ur main i would avoid the forums.
That rule has been in place for as long as I can remember. Due to the fact that it can be exploitable and ripe for folks looking to sell accounts or any such things, I wouldn’t count on it changing.
In fact that is exactly what happened and why the rule is like it is. They used to allow everything to transfer to the new Bnet account, when they first allowed Bnet to Bnet transfers. People started trading and selling accounts with high value pets and mounts. It got so out of hand they had to set it up that nothing account bound could transfer.
