It’s because the streamers cheered for it! Blizz doesnt listen to the players they listen to the streamers and their bandwagon fans! The same players who rolled on PvP Servers because a streamer rolled there! The same player who transferred off because of the faction imbalanced because that’s what a streamer did!
Blizzard does not care about the real players!

Yeah. I admit I’ve been glacial at leveling because Retail’s honestly been a blast, but I actually do still like MoP and enjoy being able to actually play with my friends/guildies. The odds of Bloodsail ever having a resurgence were slim, but this makes them guaranteed zero and saps every ounce of optimism I had for enjoying WoD (I loved SPriest there) or Legion (Legion Disc was an absolute delight back in the day). Blizz still has my sub as long as Retail is enjoyable, but I uninstalled MoP Classic minutes after processing the news. If they have the presence of mind to not do something so incorrigibly stupid, I’ll reconsider but not a moment before.

Yeah I can’t imagine how it made it to serious consideration in a game that is about raiding PVE content and this ensures the largest concentration of players on one realm… yeah can’t imagine… legit NPCs on these forums holy crap.

It’s not a forced transfer.
Stay on your current realm if you want. If it is truly the minority, the free transfers shouldn’t bother you.

I think MOP Classic is in a weird spot where it’s an older version of WoW, but it’s so “recent” for some people and too “retail-coded” that they’d rather not play it or they just go to anniversary realms or even retail directly.
So numbers are a bit murky, maybe on the low side.
WOD Classic will definitely be the final nail in the coffin though. Blizzard would have to be brain dead to even attempt it instead of skipping over it if they insist on continuing the progression of expansion releases.

I mean, there are definitely some negatives, but there are some positives as well. On the bright side, it’s a chance to consolidate all my active characters to one realm, as there have been a lot of population migrations/issues since the launch of Classic 2019, and I have Horde and Alliance scattered across several realms, so…

My comments were directed at a person who said only a loud minority wants a consolidation. If that’s true, the majority can ignore this opportunity and stay on their current populated realm.

If you don’t want to participate, then just stay where you are.
For those of us that wanted to play on a PvP server, we’re finally getting what we thought we were signing up for.
