Menethil Harbor

Why is Menethil Harbor still a submerged mess? It has been years since the Cataclysm. People wouldn’t be able to live in a rat infested disaster zone. Blizzard, in the next expansion, either have the area abandoned or fixed. It’s stupid.

Same reason why many of the old maps are the way they are. I’m certain the Blood Elves would have repelled the remnants of the scourge we’ll away by now but it is what it is.

Also why are there still is there still a Blood Elf encampment from the spaceship yonder still in Azuremist Isle, I guess it’s cause Draenei don’t have playable rogues.

I loved Menethil Harbor, it’s where I met my fist in game friends and started our guild!

Would be nice to do another cata event that put things almost back right again, or at least dry it out so we can see the pretty little town again.

The real question is when are we cleaning up the mess the Forsaken made at Hillsbrad Foothills so we can rebuild southshore so I can have my comfy fishing port town back?

it would cost a expansion to fix and considering how bad the company is at story writing I don’t think they could come up with decent replacement quests.

you know small indie company who can’t afford good writers.

I sure miss the old south shore… the Halloween event was the best.

and the PVP was great.

Another world revamp would be cool, but i’m pretty sure Blizzard is too scared.

Cataclysms endgame suffered greatly from the world revamp, and Cataclysm is when the subscription free fall began.

Hillbrad used to be one of my favorite leveling zones. I hate what they did to it.

Honestly? I feel that they should have an expansion focusing on the whole of Azeroth, remake every zone without tying them to an event that happened within a single expansion.

Its getting fixed don’t worry. The world will change once more like the cataclysm but for the expansion after shadowlands as it is confirmed.

This is with many towns. Blizz needs to instance these behind level, or update them now that you’re going to start in BFA if you’re new.

Menethil Harbor needs to be changed.
The Horde needs to be removed from Darkshore/Ashenvale
The Dread Scar has to be fixed.
And being a little greedy, Suramar needs to be instanced too and make the city a faction city. It is way, but waaaay too good to be left out lost in time in Legion.

And many other zones that don’t come to mind now.

I don’t know, Why doesn’t every one fly into the air in the eastern kingdoms from the wobbly orbit of a giant sword stabbing your planet.

Not quite true… they can afford them they just choose not to use them because “This cut scene would be so cool man!” over rules any sense of coherent story. Just like some feature film releases.

I like this idea. It could be done slowly over the course of the expansion.

Like the TV adaptation of Game of Thrones. Hit a plot hole? Pop some boobs and butts on screen and distract everyone.

I’d gladly take updating old zones over a new expansion. They didn’t exactly do an astounding job in BfA and I have no hope for Shadowlands. They need to stop coming up with silly out of the way ideas when there are things our characters WOULD be tasked with doing. And Blizz is capable of decent storytelling. It’s often with the smaller more personal missions that they excel and that could be fulfilled by our characters helping fix our own homes. It doesn’t always have to be world ending events.

Time skip of like 30 years, town still under water, and ll the other places still a disaster zone. yeah we have had 30 years to fix Therimore, but we like the fires…

I am expecting that is what will occur during the “time skip” for Shadowlands. When we reemerge from there, it will a couple of years later and that will give them a valid excuse to update the world.

G’mornin Caelin, great to see you! I sincerely hope you are right my friend, I think I became attached to the world while leveling and when Cata destroyed it I honestly never really adjusted.

Nostalgia and all, is really what is boils down to for me, that and practicality, making these areas functional again would be better than them sitting empty and useless in muddy waters.
