Yeah, they would have dealt with the flooding years ago. But Blizzard tends to be pretty bad at updating older zones unless it is part of an major content update. So hopefully the expansion after SL will come with updates to fix some of the destruction from Cata, restored homelands to some of the races and updates to broken cities.
I disagree, I think the questing is ten times better there now than it was pre-Cataclysm. Same goes for Silverpine Forest. A million times more flow and better questing. Questing from the Vanilla era was utter garbage.
It’s an alliance area, so… Blizzard could care less.
They tend to do this when they want to use the revamped content in the next expansion somehow. Perhaps that is indeed in the cards. We know that leveling as redesigned in SL is basically designed to “skip over” the old world content more or less completely, so perhaps they do have something in mind for it after SL.
Isn’t Westfall still messed up from the cataclysm too? Are those farm hands still hammering away on that inn at Sentinel Hill?
And battles in every nook and cranny. I know it’s “world of warcraft” but does every single area need a warfront? (I’m exaggerating but it’s a lot of battles all over - tired of looking at the front of Orgrimmar with all the siege weapons, etc).
They could make some quests similar to the Ahn’Qiraj War Effort. Just have it for a limited time, limited supplies needed and then - boom- all fixed up.
I’m mostly talking about “newbie” zones. I mean, I can’t play my new alt Night Elf in Darkshore - they haven’t even buried the bodies of the dead elves all littered on the shoreline. That storyline really made me sad. I literally cry when I see it, cause I love night elves. Please put them to rest.
I just hope if they do a time skip it’s not huge and we come back to some sort of dystopia we have to fix. lol
And get rid of that god ugly horde base. Jesus why’d blizz have to put a base the size of a city there?
I want the Horde out of Hillsbrad and Southshore back.
Since the Forsaken are no longer in the Undercity, the night elves and worgen could establish a new capital city for the Alliance in Tirisfall Glades.
Nope Hillsbrad has always been Horde there was a reason zones were redone and that fact is the Alliance HAD way more than the Horde.
the Horde had the most unfinished zones in classic and we were basically stuck in the barrens leveling up. The issue is as Cilest said 30 years and the same crap is still there.
Not sure why people demand horde be kicked out of zones the company put us in to balance zones and quests.
I think the Blood Elves Draenei and Gnomes should get some serious attention first over stupid Stormwind or some out of the way Harbor .
Gnomes WERE actually promised a capital city in cat it never appeared.
Blood elves and Draenei have been waiting for years for our zones to be actually fixed and moved off the Outlands server.
Always Stormwind and Org get fixed the rest are ignored. A even more of bad call was the MONEY the company spent on UC and BRILL to update them was wasted on BFA destroying them and you must use the dragon to warp back and forth.
Hopefully Blizzard doesn’t plan on using these dragons as an excuse to not update zones…
That is the whole point of them.
Yeah, most of the other cataclysm damage can be avoided when leveling alts, but Menethil Harbor is still a somewhat frequent stop and going through it is depressing. If the loch in Loch Modan were repaired that’d be great too, always hate seeing that when taking a flight path through EK.
because blizzard doesn’t have time to make our world look good D:
Yeah, Darkshore (Before this xpac) had remained busted up too. I think they just forget about some of these places, like one of those “out of sight, out of mind” things.
Oh, don’t get me wrong, I like a lot of the newer quests, just don’t like how The Alliance was completely forced out of the zone. Used to love joining in on huge pvp battles.
It is a lot of time and quite a bit of money to go back every expansion or two and make changes to an entire zone.
time wise when your questing in that zone the cataclysm just happened the zones are time locked
Don’t you remember? They were just putting on the finishing touches…
The the Legion Invasions started and knocked it all down again.
Sentinel Hill is still on fire, yo.
