I find that people who have a problem with it seem to think that players identify as the toon instead of just playing a character that appeals to them.
Skinny guys can play orcs without it being weird.
Humans can play elves without it being weird.
Hominoids can play animals without it being weird.
Not sure why it has to change when it comes to sex.
Besides which most male gamers have been playing woman for years. Metroid, Tomb Raider, and Resident Evil.

I have a pretty even split on Male and Female characters.
For me, I don’t interpret myself as the character I’m playing because they’re themselves and I’m me.

all Mmorpgs, majority of the time i play/ make female characters depending how they look. I like good looking characters / sexy goddess style or for males,… I am Lancelot always and not the …Hound from game of thrones or an orc no offense. That’s just me. Also, why does anyone really care what others do ? I find that more odd then anything but /shrugs .
