Tatts and skin color. That’s all that would be different. Not worth making a separate race.
“Just” antlers.
“Just” tattoos.
“Just” skintones.
What makes this request any different from the existing Allied Races that, aesthetically, are all just minor variations from their source race?
It doesn’t and that’s the point. Those didn’t need new races either. Nearly all of them could have been added as customization to the existing races.
If it was good enough for the Dark Irons and the Mag’har then its good enough reason for the Wildhammer and the Dragonmaw.
Hope Blizzard adds them as proper AR’s to give both groups their proper lore and treat them like they should have been.
Precisely. Void Elves, Mag’har, Lightforged, Dark Iron… all are predicated on a different skin colour, at the most basic level. Some physical differences are even less pronounced, like Nightbourne and Highmountain.
The key is cultural difference. You can make wildly different aesthetic choices based upon those differences in culture.
New helms for Wildhammer, I hope we will get more things for Wildhammer in the trading post in the future. A full wildhammer armor could be great.
Races armors in the trading posts could be really interessing. I think we could get full armor for the “customization races” like Man’ari Eredar, Wildhammer Dwarves, Sand Trolls, Fel Orcs, Druids of the Flame, Necromancer Humans and Gnomes, Leper Gnomes, Felblood Elves, Feltotem Highmountain Tauren, Frostborn Dwarves, Dragonmaw Orcs, Forest Trolls and Grimtotem Tauren.
I still hope we could get Dragonmaw Orcs skin soon for Orcs too.
It’s a Good Start through I would be happy to see more Wildhammer Armor Outfits and stuff like the Banner Toy and etc.
Also I think the Dragonmaw seriously needs to be a option for Orcs at some point in the future.
Blizzard can you please add an option to choose the wildhammer race tag for bronzebeard dwarves because they have the WH customizations (tattoos, feathers).
Can you also add new tattoos, beards, hairstyles and jewelry WH…
My dream come true, Wildhammer Dwarves finally getting the proper recognition they deserve, this would be amazing!.
Now Dragonmaw Orcs are recognized as an integral part of the Horde (Kosh’harg), a place in the Horde council could be a interesting move for them.
I’m really sad Earthen got their own allied race and Wildhammer are just a customization. Also now we get Dwarves in the Horde side too.
It’s time to give us the Dragonmaw Orc skins for Orcs.
Anyone asking for things like this as a full fleshed AR has far more merit than ever before. I don’t want to hear ANYMORE ‘too many of this’ or ‘too many of that’ or ‘not different enough’ because it’s clear it doesn’t matter and we should be asking like mad for what we want because it could be added. Doesn’t need to be ‘different enough’.
Renewed support for these concepts. 100%.
I completely missed those. I would still prefer that more races get the full Allied Race treatment, but a bone thrown is a bone thrown.
I really don’t get why they won’t just give us the Wildhammer and the Frostborn dwarves at this point.
Earthen are one thing but the Earthen they did give us are literally mirrors of the Three existing dwarven clans… They should just tell that sort of story with the ones we have and let us play the races we’ve literally been begging for for years.
I can’t understand why they thought earthen as a neutral race… when they had wildhammer and Frostborn still outstanding.
Frostborn should be a thing, especially since Muradin was their leader at one point. He might still be, but I can’t recall what, or if anything, happened after Wrath regarding that.
Blizzard should also add beards to Bronzebeard/Dark Iron Dwarf women.
This is a customization they should have had first !
At this point, getting passed over so often, I feel like I should delete my megathreads. Not because it’s hopeless, but because it feels like Blizzard just enjoys being contrarian sometimes.
I get that.
But nah, I ain’t giving them an excuse to pretend people haven’t been requesting things. If they want to be contrarian they can continue to wonder why WoW has such a bad rep these days.
I’d say keep em up and keep annoying them with the fact that they keep choosing actively not to do what their players are begging for.
