I wouldn’t mind if this were an option.
The entire Dracthyr race and visage form gets misunderstood. The Dracthyr are the race and the crappy elf visage form are two completely different things as well as the Evoker class. There’s too much confusion and the Devs did a horrible at trying to explain it which is why it’s become so controversial. Misunderstandings and misconceptions is what drives horrible people to be the way they are.

I like both my forms personally; but it took me a long time to settle on a look I actually liked with the Visage options. I have it toggled so I automatically go to Visage after combat or Soar, but that doesn’t mean I dislike my dragon-form; I look beautiful when flying.
Would it bother me if Evokers could stay in their Visage form during combat? No.

I just wanted to back up what I was saying for this “MegaThread”. This is my (Serphim’s) Dragon Evoker, and she’s dope! I love the coloring and the spikes and the hood. The only complain I have is I wish that I could get a transmog for my visage that matched the armor that my Dragon form is wearing. That would be awesome!
I think they really missed the ballpark going with this iteration on the ‘‘dragon class’’. Being a dragon? cool! Looking like Dracthyr…mehhh. Imagine if you switched to dragon form when you did spells like Dragon’s Breath like the spell Eye Beam from Demon Hunters. People keep saying ‘‘yeah but you need to be dragon to be able to wield that kind of dragon power’’ then why do almost all spells work except just a few spells? Then going of that point every single spell should be in Dragon form…Write a piece of lore saying that they can be in combat while in visage form, eventually add the class to every race and if there is time, add full tmog option to Dragon form (which probably takes a while hence going visage form first would be easy and get more players into the evoker class → more voices → more attention for the class).

There we go. No one is trying to ruin anything. We want an >option<. You can still play the lizard form if you want. Many people want to >option< to play in visage form.
Well it shouldn’t. Really. If you can’t enjoy the game because of what other people do, you will eventually leave the game. You can’t control other people’s choices.
I don’t like the idea of tauren rogue, but I don’t care if people choose to play one.

Visuals are kind of tied to the class, and I’d rather that not change. People can already shift forms with atomic recalibrators.
And cause I was able to fight as peacebloom with some transformation item, clearly, a character by default should be able to become a herb.

Evokers can’t even use evocation. Frauds and tricksters just grifting their way through Azeroth.

I know, and that’s exactly why my evoker is still lvl 70. If I had the option to play in visage form, I’d playing it currently. That’s why the option would be interesting, more people would enjoy the class. We’re not even asking for other race options, just fight in visage. If visage is just some magical disguise, why can a dracthyr fight in visage as a mage or warlock, but not as an evoker?
Doesn’t include visage, and doesn’t let us customize the appearence.

giving something that makes the players happy is not caving in, it is being a good company. So yes please, Blizzard ‘‘cave in’’ to make the players happy and enjoy the game more

Worgen players to Evokers:

This is not comparable as the race human already exists and most classes you can play as human, you can also play as worgen (except druid, human druid would be kind of cool tbh…).
I played an evoker all of DF and have a Dracthyr warrior right now the fun of it is the choice but I’m not doing dragon based attacks. I think evoker is fine in dragon form. <3
Yeah and your opinion is totally fine, it is just that from the very beginning when they showed the dracthyr, the leaks on mmochampion, the discussions on the wow subreddit, since the very first time it was shown, people generally had a negative opinion on the looks of dracthyr, including me. People tried to give feedback ‘‘make them more BUFF and WIDE’’ ‘‘Give them bigger jawlines!’’ etc. A lot of people would love to play evoker as the visage form, this is just an option, we are not removing stuff. There is just a few dracthyr lovers that just hate the visage form, which in some aspects I can understand. I wish they made the dracthyr GOOD from the beginning. When were we as WoW players excited for a new race? They recycled dwarves and gave us earthen…and btw I do not hate dwarves, they chill af.
As always, if you don’t want to play as a Dracthyr, you don’t want to play as an Evoker.
Go roll a Mage (even a Dracthyr Mage!) and be eternally happy.
Because your dragon abilities break visage form, just like what happens to the aspects (the characters Dracthyr Evokers are based on).
Good way to dismiss criticism, just play something else. Your class shaman sucks at healing? Just play meta! Do not improve, eat slop and you will enjoy it!
Don’t come up with the ‘‘the fantasy doesn’t fit because it is dragon power’’ crap, because blizzard already threw ‘‘logic’’ out of the window A LONG time ago. Why can dracthyr use almost all spells except just those 3 where you need to charge the ability?
