Mega Servers and Factions

What happens if I have alliance toons on 1 PvP server currently and horde on another? Can both be on the same PvP mega server?

I have chars from both factions on crusader strike when they let us merge CB into it. I’d assume it’s the same. Downside is I can only create chars for 1 faction

Same but that was different because CS was already established. Mega servers will be brand new. Has there been any announcements about this?

Not officially. For some reason blizz thinks we only play 1 faction.

On classic era, you can’t create other faction character on default, but you CAN transfer other faction character from other realm (with free transfer, even just fresh lvl 1), and after that you can create both factions characters on this realm. So i assume that in SoD it will work the same.

To reach that goal, we will soon open Free Character Transfers from all Season of Discovery realms to one single PvP realm and one single PvE realm in each region (where applicable).

Also, yes, these transfers ignore Faction restrictions, you will still be able to get all your characters on one realm. This has always been a ‘dirty secret’ of these free character moves when offered from PvP to PvP. We’re discussing if we want to remove this PvP faction restriction entirely on these realms post-merge. Regardless, intentionally disruptive gameplay such as cross-faction griefing will still be against the Terms of Service.
