Mega Server Ques are getting old

Im sure i am not the only person that is getting sick of long ques times that are happening on Mega Servers. It is leading to poor game play with guild members not being able to sit a 6 hour que, or random DCs forcing people to sit long ques also.

I get i have the option to transfer off for free, but to what? A low population server, that allows me to wait 30 minutes to hours for groups to form?

Why should my only option to escape the que fall on these low population server? Since i am locked to these due to the 3-month transfer cooldown window. Why is this even a thing?

Why not just remove the 3-month transfer cooldown and let players go to where they would like? Seems like a simple fix to help server balance, instead of pushing players to dead / unthriving servers.

There’s a mount limit?

What are your free transfer destination options?

To much wow on my mind!

The lower than megaserver population servers are clearing raids everyday of the week.

All servers with under 1500 people in LFG at one given time.

If only we had a tool that automatically matches people across the servers to create a group, maybe one day…

Is that on the minority faction? Old Blanchy says High and the rest say medium. I’d expect at least High to have a good enough population.

go to BSB and rp as a swashbuckling wide hipped femme fatale human rogue.

youll thank me later

Mega servers are a player made solution to a developer made issue. You can’t group cross realm, so you all roll on the same server in the hopes that it allows you to have a steady flow of other players to group with. This in turn creates massive queues. Blizzard offers transfers to other realms, some people take them, and realize that they are now part of a medium pop realm and no one is walking around to group with, and now they are stuck behind a transfer limit.

Like, there’s a valid reason all of this was fixed back in the day. Yes, it wasn’t a perfect fix, players are humans, and humans aren’t always logical, but it was a fix nevertheless. This is the new meta, this is the new system we have in place. 10000 player wait times.

Because everyone who helped make Benediction is responsible for there being no other servers left.

They closed down 3 of the 4 bridges so now traffic is backed up on the one bridge they left open.

Those other servers were even more deserted than the low pops that survived, so I am not sure how it’s a bad thing they were closed.

As a customer to blizzard, if i want to spend $25 to transfer somewhere of my liking, i shouldnt be gated by a 3 month limit. Seems foolish to me. Im sure a lot more transfers would be accuring if people could take the server of their liking and not the lackluster blizzard options.

Sulfuras was a destination server and now it’s Full.

Most of the other servers where you can transfer to are at Medium or higher.

Pretty sure this is just doomsaying at this point.

You would think they would capitalize on the issue and just let people keep buying transfers over and over. This seems like a missed opportunity on their part. Don’t fix queues, or add in cross realm or anything, just put up a 20 dollar transfer or whatever and let thousands of people bounce around swiping their credit card over and over. Certainly beats subscription income.

That specific restriction is thanks to gold sellers, can’t make it too easy to ship gold around.

If Blizzard just sneakily started redirecting people to these other servers instead of putting them in a queue, the only thing they would notice is that they didn’t have a queue. It’s crazy how their queues are larger than the rest of the servers.

You know… If enough people transfer, those servers wont be “dead”.
