Please condense the servers. According to Ironforge.pro Bene and Atiesh are sitting on 1.7k active raiders the week before last and Pagle isn’t doing much better at 3.5k. I’m sure the horde dominated servers are feeling the lack of player base as well.
For reference the first couple of months of Cata Bene was around 25k, Pagle was around 16k and Atiesh was around 8k.
You cant pay attention to that week, the population is ripped out of active characters warcraftlog data. Everyone was taking a break raiding for the past 2 weeks before firelands so it would inaccurately show the amount of people playing the game for that particular week. We wouldnt get a true # till after the first full tuesday raid reset. We won’t see data for the first week of firelands till at least tomorrow?
all the way back in the summer they loosely mentioned on twitter something about our server status (“we haven’t forgotten about you cata classic”) but nothing has come of it as of yet, it was by the same guy who made the name reclamation feature in september for sod which also hasn’t happened
I was shocked seeing the cata numbers in ifpop. Turns out nobody really wanted to play old retail.
What do you gain from pushing people together who haven’t chosen to be?
Alliance on Faerlina (an almost completely Horde server) for example, has an excellent small server community feel going with probably the best wpvp in Classic since maybe phase II of Classic 2019.

They should just merge all the PvP servers into 1 mega server and World PvP great again!!!
If they merge all the realms , they also save money when everything is in one location.
The only problem is i don’t think they have the resources for the possible immediate bugs when you raise the population in a realm. Stability issues can occur and other bugs can start happening.
They would probably shoot themselves in the foot unless they can handle the possible drawback of making a giga realm in terms of logistics.
Merge PvP servers together and then merge PvE servers together make 2 mega servers. Don’t allow server xfers either for the first 2 months. Since alot of the people who play on unbalanced faction servers will most likely want to leave to go play on a PvE server because they dont want world PvP.

Legit too. the “dad” guilds. I know as a dad weekends get loaded. We ask our teens/spouses do you have any weekend plans you’d know about on a Tuesday? To pretend we can schedule our life lol.

Weekend comes. and all the plans come last minute. this is why I never make weekend plans. I have a 15 year old and a wife.
It makes for fun fights. Wife complains when am I getting to painting that $300 in WH40k models I had to have.
Answer: when you and the son give me a sat or sun I get 3-4 solid hours to do this. I can’t work on them being a chauffuer lol.
Having to do… anything… is usually a big road block I have noticed. Even if they had a key they could just hit… and it did it perfectly… probably one of the devs would be like… man… its on the computer behind me and I will have to spin in my chair to do it… forget this…
I don’t know about other servers but Atiesh has a perfectly fine server population. The SW AH is always busy. I bought tons of stuff off it and recently sold tons of wrath items. Almost everything I put up sold and whatever I looked for was there for me to buy. All the chat channels are busy, sometimes too busy to comfortably follow. I like the medium pop feel of Atiesh and would hate if it became a mega server. If they combined it to create a mega server that might be the time I quit classic. I wouldn’t mind if they combined it with a horde dominated server since Atiesh is alli dominated but the alli population is great just the way it is.
Atiesh really doesn’t have anything to combine with.
Grobb alliance…wanted that. Or they’d be on Atiesh. and atiesh clearly didn’t want wpvp.
Also they can’t make pve forced pvp.
Cross country merge to pagle? Forced ping hit that would tick off people.
And won’t completely fix population on. Several time zones later…its time travel games. lots of east side on pagle is going night all dudes.
West coast is going why, its only 2000? East coast is going dude…its 2300 here and work starts early in the morning for me lol.
Could be worse. SoD made it down all the way to 20k players. At least cata kept 50k after 6 months of a single raid tier.
That will kill the alliance though, it’d be 4.2k horde vs 1.7k alliance.
wrong sod has 90k players and 30k only on crusader strike, faerlina and benediction are now completely dead with sub 3k.
Yep. As grobb would be out of this since RP PvP. also they have balance in place. It be kind of stupid to take a server which has had creation locks most of its life cycle, and slam whitemane and faerlina on it.
Also the fun bit…who of the big 3 is the host. meaning 2 of these servers may be losing names. Chars or guilds.
Since once declared…lets be honest people would troll hard with level 1 alts to name squat jsut to bust some balls.

Unless they pull a crusader strike and remove the RP tag from it yeah, it’ll most likely be left alone. And grob doesn’t have a heavy alliance tilt atm, so it couldn’t help balance out the factions.
If I had to guess, it’d be faerlina since its the biggest of the three. Like how they picked CS in SoD.

And since a pvp thread in some parts…not all who pvp log raid stats. Some don’t run it all.
I have chars on grobb who I’ve no raid plans. At all. I level to 85 to get baseline pvp gear to partake of city attack/defence and not die in 2 seconds.
I tried to save Garrosh as a 30 ish once. It did not end well for him. Or me…lol.
I have atiesh chars who do pve work. even moved 3 of my whitemane 85’s with faction change with the service sale. several 85’s one side…lets token this game once in while off one bank alt’s wallet lol.
The latest grobb experiments are just a wth…lets watch garrosh or varian get beat down once in a while. Raid boss count will be…0. by design lol.
