Will you be taking action against players who are using 3rd party programs to screen click at the character selection screen so that they don’t have to log off at the end of a play session?
Imagine thinking that transfers are as disruptive to realm communities as prospectively having to wait multiple hours to get online for days if not weeks.
Most of my guild can’t even possibly be online at the same time because there’s no way to coordinate around a 7 hour queue with random disconnections once you’re in.
O i know. someone in our group had a 2nd account they were just checking queues on. All the US east pvp servers were queued all night last night, and they started back up around 8 AM est today having queues.
Thank you for this. It’s nice to know it’s being paid attention to. While I knew queues were going to happen, I don’t have time to bother resubscribing again after today if I can’t even play. I may be off of work today but I do still have to work for a living, as do many others, and it can be kind of disheartening and a waste if we spend every second of free time we have just waiting to get in.
Here’s the thing:
People will complain no matter what, but all those people that are whining are still paying and playing at the end of the day so forget about them.
You guys are doing great. My guild heeded your warnings and moved off Whitemane to Stallag. Then once again, we heeded your warning and moved from Stallag to Blaumeux. Blaumeux was low pop up until a few hours before release. Nobody listened. Blaumeux had no queue until about an hour after release when all the stubborn “but but but mah name reservation” people finally buckled and switched…TOO LATE
This is nobody’s fault but the people that didn’t heed your warnings. Our launch experience was smooth as butter. No queues for our entire guild.
So in this sea of complaints I’d like to thank you guys for doing such a fantastic job. Overall, the launch experience was a success and I’m happy you guys are making a well-deserved profit off of it.
Enjoy your que times now that people have begun switching and enjoy them on the next “low” pop server you end up on. Your praise is heard loud and clear! lol
I appreciate the blue response but what about Stalagg…we got totally screwed by the borked server launch and now our options are; be on a catastrophically overpopulated server forever, or shatter or guild and scatter to the wind
I literally rolled on the realm Blizzard told me to roll on the night before launch, and it’s a 4 hour queue right now.
Do you guys even have phones??? Wait, wrong game!!!
Hey Watcher, why can’t you guys just add more layers and let everyone in? Are there limitation on server technology, or are there other reasons.
Question. What happens if people already have guilds and friends on that server. Is there a proposed solution in place? Everyone I know on EU is on Shazzrah. Everyone I know in the queue right now has other people they know on that server. Are we supposed to go and play without most of our friends?
I just don’t understand the reasoning why I can’t log into retail while I am now 15000 in queue for classic in the middle of the day when no one working 9-5 is online. Is it really that hard to just allow you to only PLAY one at a time? Sit in queue and then when the queue finally pops you get a notification through B.Net or something that you have to log out of retail and can play classic.
Gets around any form of “account sharing” possibilities or whatever while meaning I can actually DO something during this 6+ hour queue. I am just straight up never going to be able to play on T/Th because I am going to come home to a 6 hour queue (at noon btw), get on for like 30 minutes and then have to log over to retail for mythic prog. At least let me sit in the queue during my raid time so I can at least have a hope at logging onto classic before 3 AM like last night.
Im failing to see the problem. The op said “8 minute que”. I waited 40 mins happily yesterday. 8 minutes…well that’s a quick get up to take a leak break. 8 mins that’s just enough time to alt tab and visit your favorite adult site /wink. Wtf we griping about 8 minute ques now.
I kind of agree with this tbh. Like, sorry I have to work an ACTUAL LABOR JOB that doesn’t involve sitting on my bum in front of a screen all day. My sub runs out today and I don’t think I’ll be resubscribing for a long while if this is their idea of ‘handling’ things.
Hmmm… Statistics is a b**** isn’t it
Hiding behind #nochanges lmao, no changes meant no gameplay changes, it has nothing to do with server queues or any tech stuff
Blizzard said to roll Stalagg instead of Fae or Herod and it has had the longest queues out of all of them. I headed blizzard’s warnings and it just screwed everyone on that server over.
I understand we are keeping the experience authentic but at the same time we are also not. The reason Im saying this is because I played original vanilla and que times were not like this with the exception of new content release days. Also I feel we are being a bit rude and arrogant by not just being obvious in the popularity of this event and just using newer tech to allow more people in on a server at once while preserving that authentic none so so bfa experience.
I understand the desire to avoid the issue of having dead servers later on.
But I have to wonder why so few servers were originally proposed for name reservation? It seems that you guys did not think this through very well. People got names they wanted to play on servers with their friends. Their friends got names. Guilds were planned. And then it was asked of us to leave these servers, before the game even launched. And that caused voids to tear open in guilds and groups of friends.
Classic launch had some very poor social engineering. It’s nice to see servers being spun up but… the original number was what, 8 servers for NA? That has plenty more than doubled now.
I think you guys really messed up with the name reservation thing and having so few servers to choose from initially just because people got committed to those servers.
I know that it’s easy for the community to blame the players for not leaving when asked, but I blame you guys for not having more servers initially. Like I said, social engineering. Asking people to leave servers because you did not have enough to begin with is sad.
Edit: I should add that this has nothing to do with the total population and interest level of Classic WoW, it’s more about spreading the population out among servers. Even with the new servers, some of them have 1/4 or 1/3 of the queue the original ones do.
When you have, say even a quarter of the 40k population at max level, it’s going to make farming impossible. They need to think ahead because there are insane respawns on some mats/mobs. People won’t be spread out because Black Lotus spawns in only a few locations around the world, world bosses spawn in specific locations, it’s only going to get worse, not better if they don’t plan ahead.
