I bought the Mechano-hog mount off the AH. Got the key added it to my list its not even listed in my mounts list. What happened. did I just waste all that gold for a mount that doesnt even exist anymore? Why would they even allow people to sell it

First thing I’d try is toggling your filters. Sometimes they reset.

no luck man. rebooted. toggled. Its just called Mechano-Hog. its not even listed on my mounts list.

It is definitely still in the game as I use it all the time (it is one of my favorite mounts)… Have you tried a complete UI reset? Also, just to be clear you have right clicked on the key to add it to your mounts correct? (I know it is a dumb question but sometimes we all forget easy things.)

yep I right clicked the key. it disappeared. I hovered over the Mechan-hog link when I did it and it says Already Known. So I should have it. It just isnt showing up

If toggling your known/unknown list isn’t popping it up - a proper reset UI would be my next suggestion as well.

It’s listed under a different name depending upon if you are trying to access it on an Alliance or a Horde character. Try searching your mount list for “chopper”

reset ui…tried all the above stuff people have been suggesting and nothing. so stupid

Just to be clear here, a reset UI is not the same as doing a /reload. In order to do a correct UI reset, three folders would need to be either renamed, or deleted entirely:

  • Cache
  • WTF
  • Interface

Once that’s done, I’d try again to see if the issue is resolved; including trying to search for just “chopper”.

EDIT: Also, make sure any addon managers are closed :slight_smile:

on a lark, do you still have the key in your bags?

This seems to indicate it was in the bag, but disappeared. The fact it says Already Known could be a UI issue (thus requiring the full UI reset). It may have been going through the actions of being used, but it wasn’t actually used.

I’d be surprised if, after the UI reset is done, the key doesn’t reappear in the bags OR the mount shows in the collection.

The fact that the mount doesn’t even show up, whether learned or unlearned, lends credence to the idea that it could be a filter or UI problem. If it wasn’t learned, it would at least show up.

I renamed my folders to CacheOld WTFOld and ADDONSOld redowned Elvui and DBM the only addson im using right now. Updated them.

No, do not redownload any addons prior to testing. It should be a completely stock UI.

Not just disable, but completely remove the newly re-created WTF, Cache, and Interface folders. Relaunch the game with absolutely nothing in them. Then try again :slight_smile:

The fact that it worked indicates that it’s a display issue - either filters or ui - rather than a problem with the mount itself.
