I for one love the mechanization and cybernetics of my chosen race. We have completely different emotes and I was very excited to hear about the Mechagnomes when announced.
I donāt believe Iām alone in that. I do thank you however for learning the folly for absolute blanket statements. If nothing else this will be a positive takeaway from your time with us.
I mean. If we are going to talk about unique and interesting races. Why not Saurok or naga or one of the many other reptilian races? I blame the Sethrak lobbying group for hyping them up. It was long clear they were just meant to be npcs. Even wowhead didnāt believe Sethrak would be playable since the early days. I will say this. Perhaps they could have had a better design and not as limited transmog options, but again remember. Pretty much all races have been reskins since the beginning. Even vulpera is kind of a reskin since it does use the goblin rig and similar anatomy in some ways.
Wasting development time on another joke race instead of something interesting like Warcrafts first playable reptilian race, one that had an interesting backstory tied to loas and gods.
Hey. I wanted gilgoblins and if we had got them it would have been the first aquatic race.
I feel the same with LF D, with HM T, with Void Elves to a certain extent.
However I do agree with you about LFA and HMT. these two races are pretty much near indentitle copy and pastes of the original. The culture isnāt even that different and LFD have less classes and custom options then the original. Mechagnomes though at least have alot of new animations and unique geometry and they put a lot of effort into the lore too.
I can appreciate your desire for a Sethrak AR. But coming to our forum about a race we enjoy to say a race you would prefer somehow was vetoed because of us is the slap in the face. We all know there was no way Sethrak was going to happen for the gnome AR slot. Your anger sir is misplaced.
Itās possible that the Pilot is burned out of being a Death Knight. Even though the class is doing well in PvE stand point. The class has the most PvP modifiers and a lot of melee unfriendliness going around that heās quite tired of.
And then theyāre talking about nerfing AMZ which just adds salt into the wound.
We save the Devoted leader sure enough, but so too does the Horde, and they save one of his higher up supporters and the Horde ends their civil war and the Horde revives their loa.
You mourn an event that never occurred and never would have.
Gnomes are wonderful! Without them the Alliance would have so little technology.
Dwarves wouldnāt have their tanks, or air machines. Not to mention the flying fortresses.
Gnomes are hardly jokes. We just take things with a more layed back perspective.
And there isnāt anything wrong replacing a limb with a new and improved one.
Rather happy for my improvements.
Again, why waste your time on us if weāre of no import?
I actually didnāt like mechagnomes at first.
But then I tried them and the work and love put into them and their community changed my mind.
I love them now.
I actually think that despite their similarities to their parents the LFD and HMT both have enough to distinguish them culturally.
LFD are of course bereft of any non zealotry for Draenei and the HMT havenāt been nomads ever. Settling into distinct tribes whereas Mulgorian Tauren are fairly homogeneous in culture.
And we take gnomish culture to the extreme.
Such things are important and do deserve dileniation.
Ah that I can understand.
I get tired of druids and hunters often my most played classes.
On top of that, Locutus is mainly a Frost Death Knight. Frost has a very glaring issues with resources: Frost Strike being feels bad to use and Breath of Sindragosa, a controversial ability in the DK community, adds any sort of values for RP that he has to use in order to parse in upper echelons of M+.
So far, they are not adding any positive changes for Death Knights. Rather, Warlocks are going to get stronger.
The Pilot has been playing me and push M+ keystone as Demonology ever since.
Perhaps in the future, weāll discover more cybernetic options! Hopefully some that require content to unlock. Hmmm ā¦ lens color, paint or metal finish or even new limb models!
I agree completely Clockworth. A quest chain to the outlands to unlock Feliron or Felsteel for a green tint. Over to northrend for black Saronite. Pandaria for white ghost iron and so forth. Make it account wide and I would be a very happy little Warlock
I love Mechagnome as a Brewmaster Monk, the longer I stay in a fight the stronger my stagger becomes (scales with agility). The auto heal can also be an excellent bit of mitigation if I get overwhelmed. My only gripe is that I wish my copies would force enemies to attack them like I thought it would.
Stop believing this garbage, you brainwashed twit. The Alliance was never promised or owed sethrak and mechagnomes becoming playable had no impact on that decision, despite people living in Opposite Land thinking otherwise. The Horde did far more to help the Devoted, yet 3 years later, people still believe that the Devoted shouldāve given the Horde the bird and sided with the Alliance based on ~15 minutes of quests. Or that the Alliance shouldāve gotten the shattered remains of the Faithless, for some nebulous reason.
Blizzard doesnāt want to add playable non-mammalian races, hence there have been none added in over 15 years. Honestly, I donāt blame them.
A loa the Horde saved. The Alliance version of that dungeon should be non-canon.
I swear, itās almost always disappointed sethrak supporters that want to throw hands with mechagnome fans. I have little to no faith in sethrak ever being playable, but I donāt go into the sethrak megathread just to crap on their hopes and dreams.
No surprise since they have actively had an agenda against mechagnomes since their first reveal in september of bfa. There is a large Sethrak lobbying group that was formed a long side the vulpera discord which has hundreds of members and they are honestly the primary source of all this mechagnome hate. And then when mechagnomes actually did become playable, they started trying to paint a narrative that it was a big mistake and alliance was being neglected because of it. These people really need to get a life already.
