Its good to know youāre still around.
Iām hopeful that Iāll be able to pull myself together to get to level 60 soon. I miss playing wow.

Mechagnomes arenāt my cup of tea, but my sister absolutely adores them. Seeing the passion that she has for them, and the passion others have made me appreciate them a lot more. Theyāre a success for an allied race, as they cover a niche that people really like.
Iām sorry about the unnecessary hate you folks get; I really am.
Also, your racial is awesome. I merc mode from time to time so I can lockpick whatever lockboxes I have on me. Another reason to appreciate the lot of you.

Your kind words are appreciated. I am glad someone understand that something ca n be niche, but a success. FYI: I may be unsubbing for about a month or two tomorrow. Mainly because I am working on some art stuff and at the moment I am only subbed for the forums. I am not sure I want keep paying for only the forums. That said even if I sub I will be watching the thread regularly.

Its weird the amount of hate we get. You Vulpera too. And the Pandaren Iāve recently found out get a lot of hate.

All our racials are surprisingly strong and are among my favorite things we got. I keep Coaxial in warmode most of the time and theyāre lifesavers.
Lockpicking things are also always wonderful.

For mechagnomes, I imagine itās the combination of
- Their appearances
- Being a subrace of a race that already wasnāt very popular
- Coming on the heels of void elves and Kul Tirans, both equally polarizing additions
- Being subjected to double standards that their dissenters unashamedly pull out of their rears (e.g. saying that mechagnomes are a lazy addition and/or shouldāve been gnome customizations, while giving the genuine recolor allied races a pass because they came first)
- Getting chosen as an Alliance allied race over a few other candidates that people believed were on the table (I think we know which ones Iām talking about)
I see that vulpera and their fans also get harrassed, most likely because of people seeing all of them as the fabricated āhewwo OwOā stereotype, believing that vulpera are not a ārealā Horde race, which is pretty subjective, and just being an animal race with the stigma that carries, with pandaren in the same boat.

Theyāre cute, their jokes and flirts are very funny. I love their voices. Good stuff.

Understandable to a degree. I do think there could have been some better ways to design them, but they do have their visual appeal no less to some.

I mean. The way allied races were set up was subraces. The only exception was vulpera. I think its other peoplesā fault for excepting anything other than mechagnomes.

Lots of people love void elves especially since they are packed with high elf options now. Kultirans are at least different from the humans we have now and blizzard did put lots of effort into their model. Place. They are a human variant which was to be expected.

If they were merely a customization, they wouldnāt have unique voice lines, and emotes. Plus they have unique geometry. All of the customizations we have gotten so far havenāt involved geometry that is so unique to the model.

Again. Blame the people who hyped up the idea we might get something else besides them. Mechagnomes were long believed to be confirmed by wowhead even before 8.2 hit. Besides. Mechagnomes may not be as popular, but mechagnome fans have been mostly very kind about them since the early days and many other allied race communities(wonāt name any names) have been extremely hostile to mechagnomes and their fanbase since the beginning. If we look at things based on how moral each of the groups have been I would say mechagnomes fans were the most deserving of having their request honored.
Furthermore, people have been requesting gnome content for a long time. They got that big time with mechagon and mechagnomes inclusion.

Fair. Though I think most people play up this one simply because they want to not like us.
Yeah but thatās the same as all ARās save the Vulpera.
I canāt really get that viewpoint.
These subraces have their own cultures and designs and donāt fit as mere customization without a sub race system in place. Which is effectively what ARās are with the added benefit of being able to add non sub race races. (like they could add ogres this way if they wanted to for example).
Eh. Void Elves are only really polarizing for those involved with Blood Elves and High Elf interests. Relatively smallish community overall, though loud.
KulāTirans I also think get an unnecessary bad rap.

Look, I was 100% one of those folk at first. I got my head back on straight and realized that while I still want that other race, Mechagnomes brought plenty of amazing things to the Alliance. I have no regrets now.
Oh and Mechagnomes stole nothing from anyone. Harumph!
