Pretty sure you already know that the filter is there because some people still don’t follow the rules they agree to. Parents have it as an option for kids, or whatever.
Mature Language Filter (aka The Profanity Filter)
This can be activated within your Interface Options: Main menu (ESC key by default) Click Interface > Social and check - Mature Language Filter.
Once enabled, all inappropriate words in our profanity database will be filtered and masked to appear as jumbled characters, such as ‘*##@&’.
Note: The filter does not excuse the language used. The filter serves as a temporary shield, to help parents of minors and others who do not wish to see it, to block it. Our policies prohibit the use of both clear and masked inappropriate language.
We have agreed not to use profanity, or masked profanity in WoW forever. IF reported (the key is the word “if”) Blizz has always taken action.
Same goes for the forums. The rules apply to all Blizzards games by the way, not just WoW.
It is amusing that folks that must discuss their sex life in a game think this change is in their favor.
Your sex life is an inappropriate topic playing this game UNLESS it’s with players you know in a private channel. Kinda like that ERP we know goes on in that inn. You could be subjected to the same actions as the ones that respond in a negative manner. You see, if you never bring it up, you will never get negative responses.

Even “straight” marriages offend some (not all) people. Mostly, within the family. Some family member doesn’t like the “bride”. Some (not all) don’t like the “groom”. Some (not all) friends think you can “do better”.
Sometimes, you just gotta let those people go and shrug it off as “their opinion”. They don’t know you (even if it’s “family”) nor what’s really going on, and your marriage is not to “impress” anyone not in it, so who cares what they think?
That being said, this contract changes nothing. They’ve had these rules, forever. Don’t know what people are upset/praising about.
Not everyone will see your views as their own, nor lifestyle, expecting others to be “forced” to see it your way is ridiculous. Granted said person should have not resulted to profanity, but none the less it will happen in the world.
It’s so crazzy to me to tink somone could be like that. that why social contrct is here to exit those player from the games! It’s no fun to be in party or play together like that.

yea I make big deal becauz it is big deal. It need to stop and contract will stop it for sure. We just need make sure company is aware that it works and it needs to be more to help community.
got a feeling the contract will do more harm than the good people think it will. you should never underestimate crappy people and how far there willing to go to troll or be a crap person. there will be alot of unjustified bans because of this
