If your guild uses consumables and gets preraid BiS–it will be a faceroll.
If you don’t use consumables and don’t have preraid BiS–it might be okay.
Maybe you should join a casual guild?
I think it will overall be much easier compared to when people first got there in Vanilla with completely different item and class balance.
This part is a bit over the top though.
-
LFR requires minimal coordination. It’s mostly just tank mechanics and sometimes get a handful of people to follow you into a portal or something.
-
You can enter LFR via solo queue, no organizing a group of 40 players
-
The loot in retail is all personal loot, so you don’t have to deal with Vanilla loot distribution.
-
The amount of loot you get in a 40 person vanilla raid per boss is much lower than the amount of loot a 25 person LFR raid gets per boss.
-
LFR loot can also titanforge on retail, giving you potentially the highest level loot for the lowest difficulty content. In comparison, MC may be easy, but the loot is not particularly special in the grand scheme of Classic (outside of getting parts of legendaries) and will require a much larger time investment given how many people will get loot per boss.
I share a concern for how easy MC and the other ‘early’ raids will be with 1.12 talents, debuffs etc…
If the fights don’t get more mechanically complicated (which they won’t) then Blizzard can only buff numbers and all you’re doing is turning each boss into a gear check. That will still have a shallow feel to it.
I dont know that my statement is really that over the top. The mechanics in MC and BWL are very simple and I would say are very similar to what people see in LFR.
I dont see how people enter the raid group is relevant to my concern.
I am aware of the bad salutation with loot and how its distributed in BFA.
While I personally believe that part of why the loot and loot system in BFA is so bad is because players are given so much loot I dont believe that items being more rare in itself makes them better or more rewarding when they are obtained.
Just because an item isnt orange doesnt mean that it is not special or very good. There are many epic items that drop in and out of raids that give players alot of power like a legendary will.
