Max level camping

The quotation marks were indicative of implying sarcasm as you seem to keep throwing the word around. Do not mistake my statement as agreeing with your nonsense.

Different people can be griefing at the same time. Just because it’s STV doesn’t detract from the griefing aspect.
I tried spawning in the same spot, I tried spawning elsewhere, I tried spawning in the GY - you said a person following you is griefing, yet despite changing locations now you’re changing your lines.
I tried taking a spirit res and died hearthing - unless you have any other alternatives? Since running and/or hearthing to leave the area apparently aren’t me trying to get away.

I’m in total agreement that it’s annoying to be a lowbie and get ganked anywhere. That being said I knew what I was getting myself into when I came to Crusader Strike. The real grievance should be that RP should be presented during said griefing… :japanese_ogre:

But you DIDN’T change locations. You kept going back to the rebel camp. You kept trying to go to and spawn in the place where they were killing people. That’s ON YOU.

A player has around a 30 yard radius of influence. You can res further from where you died. You can go to the maximum distance AWAY from where the rogue is clearly sitting and res, then start running AWAY from that spot immediately down the road.

If he follows you, he has now left that area. And the further you get away from the rebel camp, the more that rogue has to make a decisions. Whether to follow you specifically around or stay at the rebel camp. If he keeps following you across STV (not just at the GY literally RIGHT NEXT TO THE REBEL CAMP) then there’s a problem. But you literally didn’t leave the area. Moving 10 yards to the left is not getting out of the place.

How do you propose leaving than?

I just explained it to you… Like. I don’t know how to be any more clear than this. Do you not have a concept of corpse running?

You must have missed or ignored the part where a level 50 has the ability to gap close even if you spawn further away. Especially if it’s obvious you are just trying to get somewhere safe to hearth.

You can call me a liar or bad, but my gosh you’re being so pompous and condescending.

My post that was simply asking for a Blizzard to look at max level characters farming lower players because it’s the most honour, where the game already has PvP Battlegrounds (that aren’t being played as much due to premades and not being worth as much honour) and PvP open world events.

My original Post wasn’t about griefing until the comments brought us here, it was the failing that farming lowbies is worth more than dedicated PvP activities

Yes, by 30 yards. Your corpse res range is further. He might kill you a second time for sure. But now you’re not 30 yards from the first place he killed you, you’re 60 yards. And then 90. You get FURTHER from the origin of your first death each time. And if he KEEPS doing that, following you, THAT would be griefing worthy of action. But if you keep staying around in the same spot that’s not.

He doesn’t have to let you hearth. He doesn’t have to let you do anything. YOU need to make the effort to get away. You didn’t. If he can still see you from the rebel camp, you didn’t get away far enough. You have THE ENTIRE STV ZONE to move into.

If you are worth honor, then it’s not griefing it’s PVP. Pure and simple. The honor system even HAS a thing built in about this. Repeated kills on the same target give less and less honor until you get none. You are making two different assertions here. You are trying to make the claim that killing low level players for honor is bad, but also somehow associated it with “griefing” because you were killed by a rogue at Rebel Camp, while worth no honor.

I have some bad news for you. Killing players in the open world on a PVP server is in fact a dedicated PVP activity. That’s WHY it’s a PVP server. Why else would that be a thing?

What is the level range for honour? Would a level 50 get honour from a 37?

I killed 1000 players yesterday in there. So many that eventually on 3 different layers all the alliance permanently disappeared because they layer hopped

This isn’t a PvP on a PvP server problem. It’s a STV gives 1/4 the honor it should and BGs don’t give as much honor problem

They need to fix it. Not with guards, but with proper rewards in PvP events

You can’t get camped on a PvE server, that’s literally the solution, it’s not a troll.

Why would that be relevant if your complaint is that honor gains in world PVP are too high? If a player gives no honor that has nothing to do with your argument. Are we going to keep complaining that “You only cared about the honor being so high” and then keep coming back to camping lowbies as a dishonest tactic?

It absolutely is a PVP on a PVP server problem. There’s nothing wrong with Honor rewards being the best in open world PVP. That’s by design. Otherwise there’s no point to a PVP server other than ganking players that don’t give honor.

This is what my original post was about, before we got into the griefing part. “farming lowbies… shouldn’t be worth the most honour”

@Zugsmash I would have rolled on a PvE server, however the population is significantly less and I don’t think it fair that my PvE raiding options be so thoroughly reduced by lack of population

Eh to be fair I kill them all the same. I don’t really look at someone’s level. Mainly just throwing double multi and chimera shots into the group sitting at the bottom of the ramp and hide behind the wall over and over and after about 10 minutes they’re all dead

A lot of the people in ashenvale are 50

It’s just too good of a farm compared to anything else

The fact that a silver coin gives 500 honor instead of 2000 is absurd

Are you playing Alliance or Horde? Because the populations for Alliance on two of the three PVE servers are not low at all. They are equal to the highest population on any PVP server.

Because no honour gain means no incentive to kill lowbies.

It’s because there are so many people there, it’s not like you’ve got time to pick and choose who is what level. Mass open world PVP is very much like AV. Fire endless aoe into the void until everyone is dead.

Then that’s the in-game solution to your issue with the honor farm. It’s 10 levels btw. 10 level difference is the cutoff point for both honor and experience.

Doesn’t it give 250? Pretty sure it was nerfed in Phase 3.
