Max ilvl possible for solo players

What is the max ilvl attainable outside of raiding? Im trying to get back into the game but want to avoid raids and the toxicity they create. Is it even possible to get top ilvl gear outside of raiding? Thanks in advance.

Is it just raiding you don’t do, or do you pug keys?

If you refuse to do any group content then you’re going to be stuck pretty low, as you should be. Peek around the forum and you’ll see the average ilvl of people who do no group content.

I have a dk at 390ilvl that hasn’t done any group content. You could probably get around 400 if you max reps and get the primals for crafted gear.

I don’t have an exact answer. I plateaued at 390, but theoretically could go a little higher (the centaur arena WQ was a 392 drop for me this week; I could get another crafted 405 item if I could finish Halls of Infusion)

The answer will change in a week or two when 10.0.7 drops with a new ring and easier primal storm gear upgrades.

Fairly easy to get into the 380s, I would say 390 is cap for open world. As suggested above you may get beyond that with max reps and the rare WQ with 392 drops but that’s a long grind.

probably around 390 if you just do world content - no instance content (might end up higher with crafted gear as well).

You can get 4, 405 crafted pieces for the primal infusion from each renown and fill out every other slot with crafted gear. You could probably hit like 390-395 ilvl overall, which is pretty good for avoiding playing with people in a game designed to be played with people.

Raiding isn’t that toxic. thats based on the guild your in, you can pug anything you want solo if you don’t care to do guilds. M+ is the other content your thinking of for end game gear. its honestly better at gearing that raiding anyways but it has a worse toxic atmosphere than raiding so take your pick.

If you do everything solo and don’t do end game you can get around 405-415 with stopping at M+16

I dont mind playing with other players Im not a strictly solo player but everyone knows what type of environment raiding is. I just would rather not deal with it. Anyways, I appreciate everyone taking the time to answer me. I appreciate it.

Fun and enjoyable? You gotta find the right group that matches what you’re looking for but I find raiding really fun.

I’ll say that I do find guild raids to be a far better environment than pug keys

I acrually did the math, it’s about 392-394 this patch, going up to 400 in 10.0.7 without doing any group content.

Thats good news. Again, Im not against playing with other people. But, in the past guild raids were impossible to get into for me and the public ones were toxic and broke down every damn run. I gave up…so hearing your news about the next patch is awesome!

People that have never raided or never played with a decent group of players usually think all group content is toxic.

Thats not true really. I play group content in every game I can. Between not being able to get into guild raids and the toxic bs that goes with the public ones gives people good reason for saying what they do. I game a lot of games and never shy away from group content. This games raid aspect for end game gear is the only one.

Sounds like you’ve been in one bad guild and thus paint all group content as “toxic”. What other games do you play? I’d be willing to bet they are just as “toxic” as everywhere else.
