Ok, it’s still being set up. but it will be grand.

SL came with a grand total of ZERO glyphs. That’s just unheard of. They claimed this expansion was for customization, but then they decided… nah.
I feel bamboozled, lied to.
But enough bout that, let’s imagine things they could do with the glyph system!

Death Knight

Glyph of Maldraxxus Finest.

  • Changes your Ghoul into that of a random Maldraxxus warriors.

Glyph of Spare Parts.

  • Replaces your Ghoul with a spare parts abomination.

Glyph of the Bastion Watcher.

  • Replaces your Gargoyle with a Bastion Watcher.

Glyph of the Venthyr Watcher.

  • Replaces your Gargoyle with a Stoneborn Watcher.

Glyph of Sanguine Chain.

  • Changes your Chains of Ice to appear Crimson.

Glyph of Necrotic Chains.

  • Changes your Chains of Ice to appear Green.

Glyph of Frigid Decay.

  • Changes your Death and Decay to appear Blue.

Glyph of Despoiled Decay.

  • Changes your Death and Decay to appear Green.

Demon Hunter

Glyph of the Sentinel.

  • Changes your glaive toss into that of a Sentinal’s.

Glyph of Gargoyle Wings.

  • Your wings are a gift from the Stoneborn.

Glyph of the ascended hunter.

  • Your wings are a gift from the ascended of Bastion.

Druid

Glyph of the Steward.

  • Changes your moonkin form into that of a Bastion Steward.
    Different colours can be chosen in the barber shop after applying this Glyph.

Glyph of the Tirnenn.

  • Changes your Treant form into that of an Ardenweald Tirnenn.
    Different colours can be chosen in the barber shop after applying this Glyph.

Glyph of the Dreamrunner.

  • Changes your travel form into that of a Dreamrunner.
    Different colours can be chosen in the barber shop after applying this Glyph.

    In group only, does not cause confusion.
    Ends upon combat.

Monk

Glyph of the Loyal Spirits

  • Your Storm Earth and Fire clones are adorned in the armour of your faction.

Paladin

Glyph of the Paragon.

  • Changes your -transformation skill- into that of a Bastion Paragon.

Priest

Glyph of the Feathered Flight.

  • Gives you angelic wings while levitating.
    Glyph of the Fae Flight
  • Gives you fae wings while levitating.

Rogue

Glyph of Throwing Knives.

  • Replace Pistol Shot & Between the Eyes with a throwing Kunai Knife.

Glyph of the Illuminated Step

  • Your Shadowstep lets off a brilliant light at the point of origin and arrival.

Shaman

Glyph of the Soulshape.

  • Changes your ghost wolf colour to match that of the Night Fae Soulshapes.

Glyph of the Spectral Cat.

  • Changes your ghost wolf form into that of a spectral cat.

Glyph of indulgence.

  • Changes your Earth Elemental into that of Opulence.

Warlock

  • Changes your Succubus into a Incubus.

  • Replaces your Voidwalker with a Felwalker.

PLEASE give me your ideas so I can include them!
Do keep in mind things have to be doable. They have to be around the same lines as current existing Glyphs. It will be highly unlikely they will make Glyphs that changes the entire colour of your class’ spells. For example Void skills for Paladins. This Would be a class skin, not something for our current Glyph system.

  • Glyph of throwing knives - Replace Pistol Shot & Between the Eyes with a throwing Kunai.

Glyph of Actually Using a Dang Weapon
-Has you actually use your dang weapon during combat.

I know where you’re coming from, all casters should be able to use their weapon in hand too. but trying to figure out how to work this into a Glyph is hard cause our model animations are different then and I don’t think glyphs cover that.

I’d really like to see racially locked glyphs. I’m just going to post a few ideas, because I could go on forever!

Worgen

  • Two Forms ability can be adjusted to allow Worgens to stay in Human form, even in combat.

  • Feral Druid can use Worgen form.

Mechagnome/Gnome Both are similar but with slightly different themed visuals.

  • Heroic Leap has a mechanical visual. Rocket Boots for Gnomes and Repulsor Boots for Mechagnomes.

Casters it’s kinda hard because you use your hands for casting animations and stuff so it’d be weird to just see a staff flailing around. For monks the ‘you don’t equip a weapon’ sometimes breaks when I’m using fist weapons (which is why I mog them always) and it doesn’t hurt any of the animations at all.

Racial glyphs sounds like an interesting concept, but I think it would cause annoyances on it being ‘racist’. I bet they would have made the Raptor Shaman glyphs troll only if they could?

Oh, for fist weapons, I can see that one. but dont they also use punches and kicks?

Glyph of the Sober Pilot - Your flying mount always starts off in level flight regardless of your orientation when summoning it.

Hm… but what if I want to use my flying mount as ground mount? I’d have to remove my glyph?

Doesn’t keep you from walking or running.

Fairy Flight - gives you fairy wings while Levitating.

I’m not sure what problem this is supposed to fix? In any case, glyphs modify abilities and there isn’t a “mount” ability per se, so I don’t think glyphs are the way to fix it.

I’m still not exactly sure what you mean Simplyred. =x
In theory, a mounting glyph could be applied to your riding skill in your skillbook.

But I’d see more use in a ‘Glyph of the Stabilizer’ that changes mount flight animations to a straightforward one.

More ghost wolf forms.

A shaman glyph for your earth elemental to have the same skin as the gold one from battle of dazralor. Cost 1 million gold obviously.
