Pugging and lfr are the places for personal loot imo.
Just leave guilds like this. Its not hard. Such a weak argument.
Mandatory personal loot in non guild groups already solved this in the past.

I don’t do that anymore, grew out of it, but for a few years yeah I’d go on youtube and say things to get reactions of people, the best one was a Minecraft parody song and I went onto the real song video and said something like “wow I can’t believe this artist copied Captainsparkles parody song”…got 2 500 max replied comments out of it. Was always light hearted stuff of course, never said cruel stuff, just childish non sense like the above.

I think it’s about time guilds had their options back. Limit it to full guild groups only and let them do their thing. If people don’t like it, find another guild.

I would like a opt in “loot Bucket” system.
It’s personal loot in the game’s eyes. However, the player in raid turns the option to “loot Bucket” on.
Once on the system takes that player’s personal loot win and puts a random item into the “loot bucket” in its place. Once the random win is in the loot bucket, the master looter can hand the item out.
It’s basically like every player has the ability to click an option to have all their personal loot luck transferred and given to the “loot bucket” instead of to them.
This is a form of master loot I can get behind. That is because the option to switch it on or off is left with the player.
For what? Explaining how Master Loot got abused by what I said above? But it’s factual and you can google stories from all the way back to 2004. It was so heavily misused in the old form, it got pushed to PL only. Now if were going to have a constructive debate about it, how should it be fixed? What can prevent one person from having the power to be bias and give loot to favorited people?
I’m all for ML coming back but not in the old form. I want it to have a form that allows it to be more fairly used and if someone becomes corrupt[with strong proof], they face punishment.

I want you to know that I am the raid leader and loot master for my guild and if you want some free loot next tier(when ML comes back and i can abuse it a lot because that’s what its for primarily) come on over to Frostmourne and i will give you some loot for exchange of you… being my girlfriend??

Lol. Well, at least you have nice warm fuzzies to hold you over going into the next expansion, but that was DEFINITELY not my take-away from that.
The most you’re likely to get this expansion is Blizzard walking back the restriction on tier… and maybe, MAYBE in 10.2 or 10.2.5 you might get PLNR under specific circumstances.
They are never going back to full Master Looter as it used to exist. That was very clear to me from what Ion said. They’re not going to build the tech back into the game.

He hit me with the “Frankly, it feels bad when you get an item and your response is ‘yeah, it is an item level upgrade but I will never equip it because it’s just not good for me’ . When you can’t give that piece to your friend that needs it, that feels bad.” This has been my biggest point of contention with loot for a long time.
It’s happened twice now where I am running with a friend that got an IQD out of 15+ DoS, doesn’t need it, but physically can not give me the item when it is my BiS. Same has happened where I get something, won’t use it, but can’t give it up. It just feels bad. That loot is now pointless.
I was really happy to hear Ion give his thoughts on this. It really shows that he IS understanding a lot of our gripes and is looking for ways to actively solve them.
I have found that some raid leaders have the possibility to turn into “Amber Heard” when confronted about possible stealing.
