I finally want to do fishing stuff, I need to become best friends with nat pagle in pandaria I believe it was to get the cool stuff you get, plus selling fish can be a good source of gold or leveling for cooking, any tips or tricks to level up rep with him or anything in general to help?
You just do the dailies, with him and those people, in Pandaria.
I did the lunker stuff in WoD, at the same time, on my Hunter. She was trying to get both of those bug mounts at the same time during Legion (only to have them nerfed in BFA )
Read the comments there.
Lunkers are the suggested way of doing it, since the WoD stuff you get with the coins is better. One guy says:
“You can also do 1800 rep/day doing the MoP dailies, which take about 20 minutes. Helps break up the grind if you are marathoning, but does not add efficiency and does not award coins.”
I thought it was kind of neat that it is the same rep That made it nice if you were trying to get both mounts at the same time, like my Hunter.
After getting the mounts, my Hunter keeps trying to go back sometimes to eventually get the WoD fishing hat. It doesn’t really matter, anymore, for fishing but I’d just like to have it.
At least the mounts add to my mount number, so I’m still glad I got them (oh yeah “Water Strider”, lols I even forgot the name…)
My poor water strider…
/cries
what got nerfed?
Waterstriders became un-unique when mount equipment was added to the game. Now any mount (except the Sky Golem) can have water walking, assuming you can craft/buy the mount equipment.
Poor thing doesn’t even know…
I’ve never even messed with mount equipment. So ya I guess that’s news to me, I mostly wanted the little water raft thing from the anglers
But they weren’t nerfed considering they can still walk on water
With the water walking equipment. If you use some other equipment, they don’t.
Edit: If Blizzard changed them back, I’d love to know.
So nothing has changed then, k thanks.
What? They used to walk on water, now they don’t. How is that not a change?
But they still can walk on water…they are just no longer the only mount that can. Stop acting like it was removed from the game.
You should just go fish in Azeroth and work your level to 75. Then you can do the Darkmoon Faire fishing quests. Learn fishing for each expansion. When you get to Warlords, your garrison will have a fishing shack to build and get dailies that give you 15 levels. Then keep fishing everywhere.
In Legion do the rare fish achievement and you’ll get the best fishing rod which is usable thru BfA.
The fishing achievements will guide you to become a master fisherman!
You’re missing the point. Blizz added in water walking equipment and nerfed the water strider so it doesn’t walk on water unless you equip it.
It used to walk on water, hence the name water strider until they nerfed it.
Who cares? It’s a goofy bug mount - I’m glad I don’t “have to” use it anymore.
The fishing raft is something the OP should work for - that’s a better water walker plus alts can use it now.
I care. I’ve never understood why they nerfed it. That always seemed unnecessary to me.
/shrug
Really not a big deal, especially once flying is unlocked. Nobody is crying about the waterstrider now.
Point is there was literally no reason to remove the water walking ability from the Strider. They could have easily made it just like the Sky Golem where mount equipment doesn’t work because it has a passive ability. There’s no reason that there can’t be a working water strider & mount equipment that allows you to walk on water other than the fact that some one high up regretted the water striders passive ability after it was released in MoP.
I’ll agree when people say that mount is ugly, but they took away some thing unique which is why people complain and make a big deal about it.
Complaining because you have to make a click or 2 to make it walk on water again…dam cry babies…
They wanted water walking taken out of the game entirely at one point before Legion, remember? That would’ve been tough for my lowbie alts to get around things they didn’t want to fight through. Sky Golem gives everyone who gathers herbs and ore the same advantage that druids have always gotten so it’s ok. Water-walking striders aren’t necessary (and why is striders not a real word?)
