Massive stutters with DF client

Pretty sure you are wrong. Nobody wants to play like this, blizzard can find another way to deal with botters.

To be perfectly clear, as a paying customer EVERY SINGLE MONTH, I am NOT COOL with playing with terrible performance just so we can have less botters / farmers.

Blizzard find another way…

lol what?? where the hell are you even getting this statistic?? hahaha. mine is everywhere. Barrens and ardenweald are some of the worst I’ve seen so far, but everywhere is pretty bad. it isn’t exclusive to any zones dude. please stop spreading misinformation. you’re making blizzard’s job more difficult. really not helping.

I swear on my life I don’t know enough about computers to fiddle with any of those, unless secret computer gremlins went in and changed some of my settings while I sleep… Like, how would I have changed something between not playing the game for a few months and then picking it back up after a patch?

Pawgwalker tries to come up with every scenario possible to not blame Blizzard. Mind you, there are tons of instances where that is actually the case, where someone has a flip switched or setting off and it isn’t Blizz’s fault.

I just think that in this case, far too many of us are having issues after playing for the last several months and who have made no changes to our systems to be able to blame our side. I’m certain this one is a Blizz issue.

Maybe the reward is a super ultra rare mount? Dying to know which NPC gives out this quest.

As the bonus objective for Korrak’s Revenge didn’t complete for me successfully until last night(before my disastrous idea to attempt scan and repair) after having completed it 3 days ago… I don’t think they should hold their breath on getting that ‘Attaboy’ mount.

Well, I’ve tried deleting my “blizzard entertainment” folder and the command prompt that’s supposed to fix the issue if WOW decided your data drives should be your RAM, and… while checking my task manager it seems like WoW enjoys jacking my disk up to 80-100%. ??? Is it supposed to?

Hard drive or SSD? Either way that usage is very high regardless…

You said your husband has literally a identical computer? How is his drive performing?

Oh no, you’re thinking of somebody else. I’ve got a hard drive. Again, my issue isn’t load times, it’s the stuttering/freezing.

Man, he’s experiencing NO issues as if he’s on an entirely different timeline. I did get way ahead of him before the pre-DF patch and now I’m wondering if he sabotaged my game. hahahaha Sike. He’s gotten on my account and had no issues playing my character so we’re gonna work out a spousal rig time share until this is resolved. Which sucks, cos this is something we’ve done together since Back Then Beta and I’m not sure he’s gonna be stoked to play Stardew Valley with me.

I can recall issues with the BFA prepatch that was causing huge overwrites on the drive system. History does seem to repeat itself quite often with blizzard.

It took them 4 months to figure it out. Looks like they have not learned from last time. The issue is starting to seem pretty similar. However previous it was mainly related to quests / dialog popins that caused the stutter.

Yeah, I have no idea. I figure the disk shouldn’t be going this hard, but… I also don’t think it’s failing or anything. Again, ZERO issue playing other games. It’s just WoW. I launched FFXIV at about 6 PM and ran around a major RP hub on an RP server with not a sniff of problems. I closed it and logged into WoW and it’s like I’m watching an old fashioned projector slideshow in a lecture by a 100 year old substitute teacher with dementia. I don’t even know if disk usage is relevant for XIV because, again, zero issues, I’m not sure if it would be the cause of the severe stuttering in WoW or not.

( delete cache-WTF & interface + reset all game defaults, disabled all addons, Still Lagg so bad cant loot and barely interact with npcs

It could also just be some non-windows defender AV being used or some mouse/keyboard program. There isn’t really a one size fits all here, so your case might be an exception.

There are a lot of variables in the mix, but in a lot of the cases, you’ll see the same kinds of hints: People using stuff like VPNs. Not saying you are, but you’ll see this in others. If someone is using a VPN, it says a lot about the person, mostly that they are paranoid about privacy. It means they are also likely to do other things to their system to try to lock down their privacy more, such as manually/hackily removing/disabling components of the OS that handle telemetry. They probably don’t use Chrome for a browser, so maybe the alternatives can cause problems if they have have hardware acceleration turned on. There’s plenty of other common cliches about the paranoid gamer archtype, but I won’t dive too deep into it all because it’s pointless on the forums. They will just deny it till they turn blue or quietly correct their systems.

Blizzard will harvest the system information they need (99% sure they can do it through the game/launcher, considering all the data Warden scans on your drives) and eventually, they will connect the dots as to what the common variables are and make a decision as to fix it or give you a guide on how to work around it.

That sure is a lot of presumptuous garbage sir. Vpn = paranoid about internet security huh? I know several friends who use vpn and security isnt the reason.

Whatever the case, i wish you would give up being blizzards white knight just for a day. I have never seen anybody try so hard to gain approval from a corporation in my life.

Is that not like believing the stripper actually likes you? They dont actually care for you bro…

Genuinely I have neither. And for what it’s worth, I’m goofing around on classic Wrath and it’s more than fine!

I feel like such an idiot for pre ordering
