This clown legit is trying to gaslight lol i logged into wow (im assuming like everyone else, excited for the pre patch) and immediately had major performance issues. So i came here and posted my specs and what was going on. I was one of the first 100 people in here
Its almost exclusive to valdrakken and occasionally raid or zone change. Azure zone used to be terrible too but is much better now. Obsidian area can still be rough too
It was very long phone call. The tech specialist was very kind tho.
So, they are working on it.
Nothing on my end I can do… As I assume for most of us. I gave the everything they needed. Told them about my experiences… Even with 4 laptops…(long story lol) Even taking them in. I told them all my troubleshooting and things I tried. I brought up this forum and a lot of issues I had being experiencing especially this.
login? damn got further than I did. Not subbing till this garbage is fixed, and even then i’d be hesitating. I also only sub through WoW gold, if something is so terrible i’m not willing to spend fake money on it to play, that’s a HUGE problem.
Minus pawgs “helpful” posts ( 191 of those ) we are still over 2k posts and 86k views. This is the biggest tech support thread I can think of in years. Maybe ever.
Its just minor enough for blizz to ignore I guess. They have let this issue / thread to get completely out of control purely due to incompetence. No communication, no fixes, nothing. Pure nothing for months.
People wanna bring up past expansion problems and compare it to what is going onto now. But I say that does not make sense. For one, wows population is lower than it has ever been. And yet this thread is huge.
Think of all the people that notice this issue, and are just not bothered enough to post their concerns. It is a minor and yet very annoying issue. It is not gamebreaking. Thus blizz is under no pressure to fix it.
The time for a timely response has long past. The time for a fix is long overdue. Anyday now blizz, anyday now…

Bingo. It isn’t something we are making up… And to finish up the update from my ticket/phone call… The phone call was nearly two hours.
Here is the follow up response from my ticket after the phone call below. I only put what pertains to this topic and left out personal information.
We covered a lot during our call regarding how World of Warcraft is running primarily while in the newer Dragonflight areas. It’s been going on since you returned to playing and matches what many others are reporting on the forums ( Massive stutters with DF client ). I reviewed a lot of potential causes with most everything either being tried by you or being so unlikely to be a factor that we didn’t pursue it such as BIOS or the AMD driver updates. With the situation as it was explained and after exploring all the rocks we can turn, nothing seemed to be missed. This is also matching what the QA teams have experienced based on past cases we’ve shared with them and their own testing.
As such I have the ticket information recorded so the developers have another example to check out. I don’t have any ETA on when a fix or if there were any updates beyond “we’re looking into it still”.
Please keep an eye on the forums you were already watching for further updates. There may not be any news to share but if there is, that is going to be one of the first places we would mention it.

Talk to friends who are very IT smart or into game coding for advice. I tried everything and was already had a ticket with blizz before coming here… and once the patch (10.0.5) landed it was far worse, so I chimed into see.

When a tech support thread (on both NA and EU) Dwarfs a GD thread sticky, you got a major issue.
At this rate, this issue has been going on for far too long, if they can’t figure out the issue, then need to contract someone who can. Nearly 5 months at this point is unacceptable.
So the exact same answer from December then that doesn’t actually directly indicate that it’s purely a WoW problem, since it’s not affecting all people?

Shoot he could be in his 20’s for all we know but shoot I’m 38 I don’t act like that I know when it’s something on my end and there’s its common since. Like I said before I’m not stupid enough to mess with alot of settings so it can brick my computer they are not meant to be messed with for a reason.
Age really has nothing to do with it, imho. There is objectively an issue which many of us can see and have reported on. It started when pre-patch launched and hasn’t improved since. I personally reported it using the submit a bug button when testing 10.0.0 on PTR as this is where it was like night and day comparing the same locations to the Live servers.
To tell multiple people that it’s just their perception, their PCs or that they are imagining it is bordering on trolling behavior, especially when Blizzard have acknowledged here and directly to people with tech support tickets that they are actively working on a fix.

I agree with you. Blizzard themselves has said something. And acknowledged this isn’t some fantasy world stuff going on. It’s why also told them what’s going on in the forum.
That nearly 2-hour phone call was worth it to say the least. Also, what you said is why I shared my ticket, so people know this isn’t made up in their head, PC, or w.e.

MAKE SURE TO SAVE YOUR UI EDIT MODE IMPORT CODE FIRST!
You can find the Edit Mode Cache files in in the World of Warcraft_retail_\WTF\Account\USERNAME folder.
So just completely delete the WTF file? Because I have done that months ago.
